Portgas D. Ace X Reader - The boy from the church

The first half of the car ride was silent, until Sabo turned on some upbeat music, to which he started humming to. Shanks did the same, and when the blonde man noticed that he knew the song, he turned the volume up and they both started vibing and dancing, while you watched from the backseat. Sabo made sure he wasn't followed in traffic before stopping the car in the same spot he left you and Ace that night. You asked the blonde man to join you to Luffy's house, but he politely declined and instead invited you all over to his rented flat one day. You thanked Sabo for his help, and you and Shanks reminisced about him on your way to Luffy's place. 

"I... don't know what to do when I get there." Shanks laughed his pain away.

"Just don't overthink it. He's gonna ask you to stay over, and you'll have to accept. Once you get more comfortable with him, you can tell him how you feel." you suggested.

He smiled. "He's really one of a kind. I couldn't imagine my life without him."

Luffy answered the door and once he saw Shanks, he started jumping from joy and yelling his name out, while Shanks quickly stopped him with a tight hug. 

"Uhh, not so tight, little man." he grunted, throwing his stuff on the floor. "I just had surgery done."

"You asked for it!" Luffy smiled to his ears.

Ace also came from upstairs after hearing all that fuss. His eyes widened at your sight and went straight for a hug.

"Hi, love." he kissed you on the lips. "How was work?"

"It was fine, I finished earlier and Sabo picked up Shanks from the hospital and brought Shanks and I here..." you sighed, taking your jacket off, and Ace grabbed it for you to put it in the hanger, while you took your shoes off.

Ace stood next to you and he waited you to catch your breath. He invited you upstairs, where he said he wanted to show you something in his room. He locked the door behind you, and the sound of the lock caught you by surprise, while you were still looking around the room for said surprise. Looking behind you, you saw Ace taking his shirt off, revealing his attractive torso, inked on the back with his huge tattoo. 

"What's this about?" you asked, confusedly. "Shanks needs my help with something, I thought you were going to show me something first."

"Well, he's a grown man, he can be on his own for once, can't he?" Ace came closer to you and held your hand. "I've... actually been wanting to come clean for a while."

You were shocked and scared at first, thinking that he's gonna confess that he doesn't love you anymore and that he doesn't want to be in a relationship with you because you've been denying physical contact with him, but his disclosure was totally different. He played with your fingers while he maintained eye contact.

"Don't worry, it's nothing extraordinary, but it's about why my body gets all hot for no apparent reason. I get... really anxious whenever you leave me... as if it would be the last time I'm gonna see you. Even though I know that this fear is irrational, I think it has to do with the fact that... a lot of people have abandoned me in the past..." his hands and voice started to shake a little as he said those things, so you gave him a quick hug as reassurance. "This has been happening for a while, but I noticed it got even worse with you, and that's because my heart starts to beat really fast when I think about you, and when I get to touch you, and when I know you're mine... It just feels too good to be true; and for some reason, I keep waiting for the worst thing to happen." he said, gripping your hands tighter. 

He kissed you out of nowhere before continuing. "Sometimes I think of this as some kind of a curse, but I would rather feel my body boiling every second than not have you in my life."
