Competition Day!

We were all in the quadrangle

All the students in my year were separated into 5 teams. I was in the pink team. Each team member had to tie a ribbon of their team's color on their wrist

I was tying a pink ribbon on my wrist when the principal spoke into a mic on the stage

"Goodmorning, students!" The principal said in a cheerful but formal tone "Today is the competition day. I know that you are all ready to compete to show who is the best team!"

The students are cheered "All of you will be going around the school, completing 8 different challenges"

"The team with the most points wins! There are a lot of balloons that have different points in them, pop the balloons to get the points" The principal explained

"Have fun and goodluck!" The principal said and all the students cheered

I was assigned as the leader for the pink team. The principal handed me a map of the school where the 8 challenges are. I turned to my members

"Let's start with mountain climbing in the Arrow Building" I lead my members into the Arrow Building, where the mountain climbing activity was. There was a structure that looked like a mountain in the Arrow Building

The Blue Team was also there. The members were all calling their leader when they saw us "Leader! Leader!" The members shouted

"Ano?" Xavier was their leader "Anyare?" He looked and saw me and the pink team. "Nauna ang Pink Team dito" I looked at him

"Hindi! Nauna ang Blue-" His members started protesting

"Manahimik!" Xavier shouted at his members

"Nauna ang Pink Team" Xavier explained to his members and I saw Cassandra walk up to Xavier. Blue Team pala siya?

"Xavier, kakarating lang ng Blue Team at ng Pink Team. Dapat tayo una" Cassandra tried to reason with him

"Bakit? Hayaan nalang natin sila mauna" Xavier turned to her "Pero-" "Hayaan mo nalang sila" Xavier cut her off

Xavier turned to me "Ikaw leader ng Pink Team?" and I nodded "Kayo na mauna" He told me

I turned to my members "Let's go"

Professor Soriano approached us "May dalawang team dito, sino mauuna?" He asked "Pink Team po" Xavier answered

"Sige, Pink Team makinig kayo sa 'kin" Professor Soriano turned to us "Ang mechanics ng Mountain Climbing Challenge ay sa loob ng 5 minutes, dapat makuha niyo lahat ng flags sa taas ng ating mountain structure" Professor Soriano explained

"Each flag is worth 10 points and there are 10 flags so in total you could get 100 points" Professor Soriano explained

"Ang una dapat mag climb ay ang leader" Professor Soriano explained

"Pwede na kayo mag-start" Professor Soriano stepped aside and I turned to my members

"I need 9 members to climb" I told my members and a few of them raised their hands "C'mon" They all came to me

We all got ready to climb the mountain structure. I saw Xavier walk up to me "Ingat ka, I'll be right here if you need me" He whispered

I nodded and looked back at my members. We all started to quickly climb the mountain structure.
