Chapter 1: A New Threat - Part 1

Six months after the battle between the Dark Signers and the Signers, Later over at Yusei, Crow and Jack's basement, the boys are working on a new Duel Runner engine. Crow, dressed in his Blackbird Delivery outfit, challenges Jack to a race.

"So Yus, is  the Tournament that important?" Kyouwa started a conversation with Yusei.

"Totally, but it's not just for winner." Yusei replied.

"In other words, you are going to have some alone time with Clarice. Is that why I see a purple small box..." Kyouwa smirks.

Yusei eyes wide like saucers and shushed him. All his friends were doing camouflage. Spying on these two lovebirds since Clarice and Yusei have been dating for the past six months. Yusei's plan was to purpose Clarice during their World Fortune Cup.

If nobody tries to jump in and interrupt them having a bit of alone time.

"Yes K, but shut up. She can't know this is a surprise  or it's not gonna end well." Yusei admitted.

"No prablammo. Lips are sealed." Kyouwa zips his lips. However someone heard their conversation and Asben is one of them. Sure he should be happy that his baby sister has a boyfriend but if Yusei mess this up, he'll give him a thousand times of death if he breaks her heart. You could feel his deadly glares daggering at Yusei.

"So how is  it looking?" Niro asked.

"She's purring like a kitten." Yusei commented. "A few more tweets and we should be able to test this new engine  at full throttle."

"Forget a few more tweets Yusei, I'd  say test it now!" Crow demands.

Jack is mounted on the new Duel Runner, which is fixed in its spot. "Why not. With Jack Atlas in the drivers seat, what could possibly go wrong?" he continues to push the speed of the Runner.

"A lot! Jack! Lay off the accelerator!" Yusei warns him to stop before it overloads.

"Accelerate more?! OKAY!"

"No! Decelerate!" Crow protested, but Jack can't hear him over the noise and continues to accelerate, resulting in an explosion.

Outside, clouds of smoke burst out of the building, startling many people in the area. Inside everyone is okay, but the Runner is now in pieces. 

Nero and Asben were full prepared that they brought up a shield to protect them and push it down as Yusei coughs from the smoke.

Yusei took off his goggles  and check on everyone. "Hey, is anybody okay?"

"Yeah, we're alright?" Crow thumbs up.

"The duel runner on the other hand..." Jack pops out jabbing his thumb at the junk.

"We've pushed it too hard." Kyouwa frowns.

"What do you mean 'we', that was all Jack!" Crow blames Jack.

"I beg your pardon! You were the one who told me to go full throttle!"

Niro joins Crows side. "Oh please, since when did Jack Atlas, the so called The Master of Faster, the  Sultan of speed doing someone else tells him to do."

"Yeah!" Crow agreed. "And clearly I was just testing your  judgement, a test you failed if I might add."

"Why you!"

"Bring it on!"

As Crow and Jack start to bicker, people gather around an overhead window, starting down at them.
