It's been 4 days since i've been in the hospital. I haven't seen my baby nor my best friend. " Have anyone called me or for me"? I asked the nurse who was inserting my new iv in my arm. " I'm not sure, i will check for you " She stated throwing the papers in trash and walking out of the room. I laid in bed looking around, and before i knew it i was asleep. " I think you should put them right there cause they look better being placed there ". I heard voices and movements. I opened my eyes and saw Semaje, Ricky, Brandon and Tania. " What are y'all doing here"? I asked sitting up in the bed. " You know we can't forget about you bestie, we love you and we're here for you". I was about to shed a tear , until a question came up " Where's Kehlani "? " She's with your mom, we can't let her see you like this Moni". Ricky said as he walked over and sat down on the edge of the bed. " I thank all of y'all for coming , i've been so depressed in here for days. I started to think no one cared about me". I looked around at everyone in the room, i could tell they wanted to hug me but they just couldn't. " Look girl we don't talk as much but im going to be here for you regardless, you're like a sister to me i've never had. When we're together i always feel safe and happy". Tania said coming over and hugging me, wiping the tears that was coming down my face. " Dont cry , you're too pretty to be crying bestie. He's going to get his ! He's going to suffer so much worst Armoni, i swear". I pulled them in for a hug , we hugged for a long time it felt. We spent the rest of the day laughing, joking and eating food from our favorite restaurant Shake Shack.
September 8th , 2023
I'm getting discharged from the hospital today, i got up out of bed feeling so good, i even took a shower. My body wasn't hurting, i was taking all of my meds and vitamins like i was supposed to and my face swelling had gone down completely. " Here you go Ms.Nicole your discharge papers, and AVS with those detailed instructions on what to do if you start having pain and those stitches come out". I grabbed the papers, and put my shoes on. " Thank you so much" I said smiling before grabbing my bags and walking out of the room. I was so happy to be leaving the hospital finally, while in there i met a woman who was going through the exact same situation with me except she was a lot older than me. She was discharged yesterday, so i didn't get to see her before i left today. I walked out of the hospital and got into the car. The uber took me about 30-35 minutes to get me back home. As i got out of the car i slid the uber driver $50 for a tip and closed the door. He drove off really fast, so i assume he was happy as hell. As i was unlocking my front door i heard voices from the inside. When i walked in my living room was full of people. " What are yall doing here"? I asked smiling and looking around. Everyone walked up to me hugging me, hugging me so tight i felt so safe and comfortable. " I miss y'all so much yall don't even understand ". As we pulled away from the hug, my mom walked up to me with Kehlani in her arms. " Oh my god hey hunny " I kissed her cheeks and hugged her so tight. " Mommy missed you so much, i'm so sorry i left you, but i'm here and i'm never leaving you again". I could tell she was understanding me because she started to admire me. " Well.... my job here is done" My mom stated as she grabbed her bags, kissed Kehlani cheeks and walked towards the door. " Mom..... thank you". She didn't say anything she just opened the door and left. No type of smile or feeling. The rest of the night was all about me bonding with my baby. I missed her so much, i never really got to get that skin to skin love with her and i was happy i was able to do that.
