"Get on the bus, Wilson." I roll my eyes and hug my auntie Maire once more.
"You'd better go," She says. "Before he keels over from the stress." I laugh and pull back, my long brown hair blowing in the wind.
"Tell dad I say bye." She nod's and pretends she doesn't see the wave of sadness that rolls over my face. My dad works... my dad always works. But I'm used to it; I guess.
"I will do_"
"Wilson!" I turn to glare at Mr. Garham.
"I'm coming!" I yell back. My auntie chuckles, brown hair falling in her face.
"Have fun." She says.
"Sure, because three months bunking up with the whole of my year is always fun." That's right; three whole months! How they got the OK from the government I'll never know. This is a health and safety hazard. If someone doesn't end up in hospital I'll bow down to Mr. Garham himself. What makes him think that he and seven other teachers can control a group of two hundred, seventeen year old kids?
"Wilson!"
"Just one minute!" I snap.
"Go," Maire said. "I need to get back to work anyway." I sigh.
"Make sure dad get's fed, yeah?" She laughs.
"Unless I go blind from the yellow glare of sticky notes I don't think I'll forget." I scowl. It really isnt a laughing matter. My dad is kind of obsessive compulsive and unless you tell him to he just won't eat. Forgets he says. "Don't worry, Hun. I've got it. Go have fun." Again with the fun.
I smile at her before running over to the red double decker coach where Mr. Garham frowns at me.
To say I'd never liked the man would be the absolute truth. With his stupid black hair that hangs just above his stupid silver eyes. When you add a sweater vest he was the perfect pain in my ass.
I grin up at him.
"Get on the bus," He sighs. I nod, throw a wave back to my auntie and hop on, making my way to the top floor.
I groan as soon as I get up there.
Lucas King is sat at the back of the bus; the very back of the bus where my peoples are sitting.
Out of everything that could have gone wrong on the first day of this dammed school trip that I don't even want to be on, it had to be this.
I make my way towards my peoples, praying he won't see me. I have no such luck.
"Lee," I clench my fists. Out of everything he could do to piss me of, that would be number one. Lee is a boys name! And I don't have a penis! I take a deep breath before answering.
"Yes?" My voice is tight.
"You're lookin' hot." I would have taken it as a compliment if it hadn't come from me.
"It's a shame you not." I say and the bus erupts with laughter.
"Common, babe. Why you gotta be like that?"
"Why have you gotta be so dam annoying?" He puts his hand to his heart in false hurt.
"You're not being very nice today."
"Not to you, maybe to everyone else." I mutter as I walk towards him and my friends. They greet me with apologetic smiles.
"Dare I ask?" I say as I sit opposite Josh - my main guy friend.
"It was Mads." They all say and I lazily turn my gaze to her.
"I happen to like my cozen despite your opinion of him so deal with it." She snaps whilst pushing her black and blue hair behind her ears. Yup, Mads like highlights.
"Someones got a hangover." I mutter.
"What was that?"
"I like your shirt." She looks at me doubtfully but gives it up and goes back to scowling out the window. The last thing I need is an argument with Mad. The only thing worse than both of us with a hang over is one of us with one. If that didn't make sense then don't ask me; I don't understand myself.
"Smile Leila," Selena says. "It's not that bad." I scowl at her.
"I'm stuck on a bus with Mr. Garham and Lucas. It can't get any worse."
"Hey," Lucas' head appears over Maddie's chair. She glares at him but says nothing. "Words hurt. Please don't compare me to Garham." I smirk.
"Why not, you'd make such a nice couple." Josh laughs, gray eyes twinkling.
"Ha ha," Lucas says. "You're just hilarious."
"Try my best." I lean back and try to push all thoughts of him to the back of my head. Of course he chose that moment to run his fat hand through his stupid brown hair... Oh who am I kidding? Both his hands and his chocolate hair are sexy as hell. And his eyes... lets not go there. Don't get me wrong; I hate the guy. But I can appreciate a good body.
"Will you two shush?" Maddie snaps.
"You are just a ray of sunshine today."
"I'm seconds away telling everyone what you did last Christmas." I raise my eyebrows at her.
"You wouldn't." I say but my voice is far from confident. Mads does some crazy shit when she's hungover.
"Try me." She dares.
"Don't know about the rest of you, but I wan't to hear about Christmas." I scowl at Lucas before turning calmly to Mads.
"If you don't keep your mouth shut then he will be hearing about exsactly why you were really arrested that night."
"You were arrested?!" I look a Lucas.
"You didn't know?"
"No he didn't! Freaking hell, Lee, you couldn't just keep your mouth closed." Yeah, my best friend calls me Lee when she is pissed at me.
"Wow, Madison. Bitch much?" She scowls and mutter somethng under her breath. "What?"
"Nothing." She say.
"Yeah, that's what I thought."
"Oh stop being such a..."
"Quit it!" I look at Salena and rais my hands in defeat. Her temper can - but doesn't often - get as firey as her hair.
"Can someone please explain to me why the hell she was arrested?" I grin, remembering that night.
"I would... but you're a jackass, and I don't like you, so piss of." He glares at me but it quickly turns to a smirk as he leans over Mad's and grabs my purse. "What the hell?" I yell.
"Jus' living up to the name." He says whilst looking throuhg it. Oh crap. "What we got here?" I look at him in horror as he pulls out my diary. Yes I have a diary; am I ashamed? No. Do I wan't people reading it; hell no!
"Don't, you, dare." I growl. He opens the book and I dont think about it twice. I dive over Maddie's chair, eyes glued to Lucas.
I hope you liked it
