"Babe!" Stella called out, struggling with her necklace in the mirror. "Come on, we're gonna be late!"
Her hair was up in a bun, out of the way, but not making her task any easier. She stuck out her tongue as she focused, the slight gloss on her lips rubbing off.
"Damn this stupid thing." She angrily muttered to herself, growing more and more frustrated with each failed attempt at looping the latch.
"Need a hand?" Stephen hummed, walking up behind her and effortlessly linking the chain.
"Jee, couldn't have done that twenty minutes ago?" Stella laughed, shaking her.
"I am allowed to care about my appearance as well, Stella." He smirked, staring past her shoulder and into the mirror, admiring the woman's beauty.
Turning around, she smiled, admiring the deep blue suit Stephen was wearing
"Well, you look nice." She giggled, throwing her hands around the man's neck in a hug and planting a soft kiss on his cheek
"True, but it's missing something." Stephen smiled as Stella huffed, knowing what was to come.
"No. Don't you dare-" Stella was cut short and Stephen whistled, cause a loud banging to begin echoing upstairs. As Stella groaned, a red cape came flying towards them, latching itself around Stephen's neck. "Absolutely not."
"It's an important artefact that needs is under my care and as such, should be-"
"We are going to a birthday party!" Stella laughed, shaking her head as she tried to wave the cape away, only for it to mimic her actions and wave back. "Would you stop that?"
"A Stark birthday party, we might need a quick getaway." He smirked, knowing he would lose the argument.
"Stop trying to show him up, you're better than that." Stella smirked, reaching down and gently unclipped the Cape. It moved back on its own gently, floating in place. "Besides, someone needs to watch the sanctuary while we're gone. God knows it isn't going to be Wong."
"Are you two still bickering?" Stephen scoffed, pulling back and gesturing to the door. "Who's childish now?"
"He insulted my cooking, that's different." Stella laughed following Stephen's lead and making her way towards the door. Stephen shook his head, looking over at the woman with a loving smile as he opened the door.
"Sure it is, My Dear, sure it is."
