POV: Amelia Grey

As soon as we enter the cafe I look for where Ruth might be sitting. But I couldn't find him.

"Ev, can you see Ruth anywhere?"  I ask while still looking around the cafe.

she shakes her head "No, I don't see him. maybe he hasn't come yet?"

sigh... "Ok, one sec let me call him." I dial his number, and at that same moment, Ev gasps.

"Ev?" I turn around to look at why she gasped for a second there, when my eyes go wide.

Evie is covering her face with her hands and there are a pair of strong long arms wrapped around her neck in a hugging kinda way.

"Ruth . . . " I hit him on the head "Stop messing around !"

"ow!" he then holds his head with a pouty expression "you are five minutes late and you are hitting me?!"

"oh? we are late? where were you then, I didn't see you sitting at a table?" giving him a side eye I walk towards an free table holding Ev's hand who is still slightly embarrassed.

he walks behind us to the table and takes a seat "Well that was because the main character always shows up in the last minute or is fashionably late. "

"uh huh . . ." I smirk and say in a sarcastic tone.

"Evie! look at her she is picking a fight with me! help me"  he complains to Ev.

"oh . . . uh. . . hmm " she looks out the window clearly not wanting to be involved with a siblings fight of any sort what so ever.

While me and Ruth continue accusing each other, Evie goes ahead and orders some drinks for all of us. A Mocha latte for me and black coffee for her self and Ruth. After a while our drinks came in , when Ruth immediately took his black coffee and drank a sip of it.

"man, arguing with you is a waste of my energy. My poor throat."  if I could put a teary emoji on him I would.

"I'm the one that's supposed to say that" I reply back with the same annoyed tone he used.

"heh! I'm shocked an idiot can get its energy wasted by arguing." he says in a mocking tone as I can feel a irk mark pop over my head.

"Ok! Stop now! we came here because you had something to say right Ruth? so get to the point please. I can't take anymore of this seriously." Evie interfered not wanting us to continue acting like little children any more. I clearly noticed that people were staring at our table and she definitely did not want that attention.

"hmm" I say while taking a sip of my coffee.

Ruth sighs and continues "well, anyway, the game you wanted came in yesterday." he takes the game out of his bag and hands it to me. "I'm not getting you another gift for your birthday."

"I think I deserve 22 gifts from you for my 22nd birthday though ?"  I smile in a teasing way.

"nope! this is enough. This game is a new launch and so it was expensive. Just because I have connections in this area doesn't mean I will get these things for free."  he said finishing his coffee. "anyway, I'm done here so I'm leaving."

Ruth is studying to be a game developer and so usually gets grumpy and disrespectful as he is developing this game for his portfolio. As the older sister of this grumpy brat, I got to remind him to be respectful . . . every. single. time. But because of this I was able to get my hands on this new game much quicker than others.

As Ruth was getting up I turn to Evie "by the way Ev, did you choose which blind date you will be going to?"

On hearing this Ruth froze, turning around he asked Evie "a blind date? all of a sudden?"

"well... " Evie blushes slightly and looks up at Ruth "I lost a bet so I have to now go on a blind date from one of my friends' options."

I speak up "why don't you pick the guy Emily suggested. he is handsome and is also studying architecture. AND loves dogs. He is like a perfect candidate."

"hehe, you talk like I'm choosing a person to marry right now . . ."  Evie turns towards Ruth who is wearing a unknown expression to me. A new expression. "um... Ruth is some thing wrong? you look mad... "

He replies "no... its nothing...  just... "

.

.

.

"IM LEAVING! " startled slightly as he shouts while leaving our table and heading towards the exit of the cafe.

"weirdo"  I say as I finish my drink. Actually I noticed not too long ago but I have a strong feeling that he actually likes Evie but I'm sure she doesn't feel the same way. I guess. I glance at her.

Evie looked worried so I gave her a look of 'do not worry he is just acting like a kid.'

"lets go now. I want to finish all my assignments before our trip to the beach house."  as I say this Evie nods. We leave the cafe, say goodbye and go our separate ways. I head to the bus station while Evie left to go meet up her group for a group project.

As soon I reach the bus station I see a guy already waiting for the bus alone.

I put on my headphones and sit at the other corner away from the man. BUT curiosity got the best of me and I wanted to know if I know this stranger.

I turn my head slightly and see that he is wearing a grey hood, black mask  . . .

wait a sec, this outfit. . . and as soon my eyes take a look at his face I realize that he has been staring at me. I turn my head away as quickly as possible . 'ugh this is embarrassing!!'

In an attempt to cool my head I take  a deep breath and let the redness of my face disappear. Then I look back at him with doubtful eyes "Why are you staring? is there something you need 'sir' ?" after a pause he breaks into laughter replying "you know, I'm not old enough to be called 'sir' just yet. Though, gotta say I'm a bit disappointed."

"disappointed?"  I ask confused

"we crashed into each other this morning if I remember, correct?" He replies back with a grin.

" . . . that's right. AND you owe me a new phone screen."  I reply while crossing my arms.

"ah... well then I guess I will need to pay back the debt huh..."

he turns towards me with a small smirk on his face and extends his hand forward. He wants a handshake?

"I'm Aaron Caswall, A senior year student studying animation. and you are . . .?"

I think for a moment and extend my hand for the handshake. "Amelia Grey, Second year student studying architecture."  As I say this I get up to leave cause I see the bus arriving. "will you be getting on?"  I ask the Caswall.

"nope, but I need a way to contact you to pay back my debt sooo"

I stare at him for  few seconds then reply back "then I guess you will be getting my number."  I take his hand and write down my number on it with a pen. "Do NOT contact me until you are able to pay back what you owe me ok?"

he smiles but doesn't say anything. I sigh and then get on the bus as it stops. Taking my seat I look out the window to take a look at his covered face one last time when I see him pull his mask down and mouth out something . . .

'MAYBE'

Slightly surprised and shocked. I stare at him as the bus moves away from the bus station.
