Columbo's POV:

Day 27. My name is Cristobal Colombo. I am sailing under the flag of Ferdinand and Isabella of Castile seeking a new route to China. I am afraid though that this may be the end. I have encountered a fearsome storm in front of me.

My men are calling for me for aid. "Captain, what should we do?" "Captain, we can't make it out of here." I don't know what to do. The storm keeps getting stronger and stronger. What do I do? Do I let my men fall victim to the storm? Or do I fight the odds and hope to conquer them?

How can I fight fate? Why did I have to be hired to find route to the Indies? It was my country that started the blockade, and yet I am helping Spain in this debacle. Italy will always be my home, but I suppose I will never make it back again.

I see a giant wave in the horizon, rising like the sun in the distant east. It is heading closer to me each growing second. I start to turn my ship, even though this is futile. Everybody knows it. Even my men have started quiet down and started to pray to their individual gods.

The wave hits the ship square in the side. Port side. The blow throws us all from the wooden safe haven and into the depths of hell itself. I allow myself to sink into the far depths. I now tell my own death.

My men called me Christopher Columbus. Year of God, 1492. My first voyage. I shouldn't be surprised about this,

It isn't like I was going to be remembered anyway...
