⛧Seele's POV:

It had been a few weeks since I began working for the Demon Slayer Corps, my life saved by the enigmatic Amane Ubuyashiki after a near-fatal encounter with a demon. I had chosen to keep a low profile, partly due to my striking appearance—long, flowing purple hair and eyes that shimmered like twilight. My attire was distinctive as well: a purple scarf adorned with red and white patterns, coupled with a white, black, and purple outfit, complemented by black shorts. Despite my efforts to avoid attention, I knew a uniform would probably be in my future, but for now, I preferred to remain unnoticed. On my latest mission, I was tasked with exterminating a demon lurking in the shadows. As I navigated through the forest, I unexpectedly encountered Tanjirou Kamado. His demeanor was intense as he wielded his katana with a focus that spoke of dedication and skill. Not wanting to engage with him but also feeling the need to protect myself, I readied my own weapon. The moment his katana swung in my direction, my instincts took over, and I blocked his attack. Our weapons clashed in a flurry of steel, each of us equally determined to come out on top. The battle was fierce. I managed to disarm him with a precise kick that sent his sword skidding across the ground. He growled in frustration, his gaze locked onto me with a mix of confusion and anger. I sensed the shift in his approach as he put the wooden box he had been carrying on his back down with a determined thud. In response, I set down my own sword, raising my hands in a gesture of surrender. I needed him to understand that I was not an enemy. But my gesture seemed to only escalate the situation. Tanjirou, perhaps overwhelmed by the confusion or misunderstanding my intentions, began throwing wild punches. I blocked and dodged as best I could, but his relentless assault was hard to withstand. In a swift motion, I struck him on the side of his neck, an action that was more defensive than harmful, but it was enough to render him unconscious. With Tanjirou now out of the fight, I decided to take a moment to address the situation. I carefully picked him up and carried him to a nearby hotel. I rented a room for ¥5,000 (approximately $45 USD), and once the transaction was complete, I placed him gently on the bed. I set the wooden box next to him, hoping that he would be able to retrieve it when he woke up.The hotel clerk gave me a curious glance, but I offered no explanation as I exited the building. I had completed my mission—dispatching the demon with only a few cuts and bruises to show for it. My crow, a black bird with a sharp, commanding presence, circled overhead, cawing instructions with a sense of urgency. "GO TO MOUNTAIN NATAGUMO!! KILL THE DEMON!! CAW CAW!" it screeched, its voice piercing the silence of the evening. With a resigned sigh, I set off towards Mountain Natagumo, knowing that there would be little rest until this new demon threat was eradicated. The path was rugged, and my injuries made each step a challenge, but I was determined to see the mission through. As I traversed the forest, my path took me past a disturbing scene—a young girl being harassed by a boy with strikingly yellow hair and a white-triangle patterned haori that bore a gradient of yellow and orange. The boy's actions were both inappropriate and aggressive, and I felt a surge of anger.Without a moment's hesitation, I intervened, forcibly pulling the boy away from the girl. My tone was sharp as I confronted him. "Don't treat a woman like that!" I admonished him, my voice firm and unwavering.Turning to the girl, I softened my expression and spoke with a gentleness that contrasted sharply with the previous confrontation. "I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. Please, get home safely and have a great day." Her relief was palpable, and she hesitated momentarily, searching for the right way to address me."Thank you, Miss...?" she started, clearly wanting to get my name correct to express her gratitude properly."Seele," I replied with a warm smile. "The 'E' at the end is pronounced like an 'A.'" "Thank you, Miss Seele!" she called out as she hurried away, a grateful smile on her face. With the girl now safe, my attention shifted back to the boy who had been the source of the disturbance. He was now clinging to my leg with an odd mix of desperation and enthusiasm. His sudden outburst took me by surprise. "PLEASE MARRY ME!!!" he shouted, hugging my leg with a fervor that was both confusing and exasperating.I winced in pain as his grip inadvertently pressed against my already sore leg. "Get off of me!" I snapped, trying to free myself from his unyielding embrace. Despite the pain, I couldn't help but be struck by the absurdity of the situation. I hoped that my mission on Mountain Natagumo would offer a more straightforward challenge.
