"Alright, people, listen up!" I boomed from my spot at the front of the table. "We're out of ideas and we need some fast. So...I'm listening to the fans!"
"Uh, Alex, are you okay?" Jason asked, raising an eyebrow. "You never listen to the fans."
Everyone else at the table nodded.
"It's the only way." I replied simply, shrugging, then rubbed my hands together. "Anywho...all the fans have been buzzing on about these 'AU's they have created; alternate universes. I'm all for that. But I'm not really listening to the fans. They all want these strictly fan-made ones like Monster Falls or Reverse Falls, etcetera. But we're going to do one that's not entirely fan-made and that absolutely no one asked for!" I paused. "Well, except for Rita in Wyoming. She won't stop bugging me about it." Snapping my fingers, I continued. "Gender-bender!"
Hands shot up immediately. I called on my twin sister.
"Yes, Ariel?" I asked.
She put her hand down. "First of all, that's more like you. You're listening to the fans, but you aren't. Second of all...how do you plan to do this? This'll be really hard to do."
"Nope, already stole an amulet from a history museum that'll do the trick!" I grinned, holding up a necklace. It had a gold chain and a golden charm on it which was quite peculiar. It had an outside ring and a center. The center could spin within the ring, and if spun three times...well, the episode plot would begin.
"Are you going to return that?" Kristen asked, amused.
"Absolutely not!" I replied. "Any other questions?"
Everyone shook their heads.
"To the production room!" I announced, grinning, and led everyone in.
The production room was as it always was. Glistening white walls, a single blue light in the center of the ceiling, and a huge, wide cylinder in the center with a blue dome over it. Looking in, you could see the dimension I'd created: Gravity Falls.
I rubbed my hands together. "Okay, I'm headed in! Kristen, activate the portal! Ariel, double-check the equipment. And Jason?"
"Yes?" He asked, looking eager to finally do something important.
"Get me some coffee." I dismissed him with a flick of my wrist.
"Portal open, sir." Kristen reported, and I moved towards the glowing blue portal that replaced the view of Gravity Falls.
"Alex, all systems are go." Ariel informed me, and I nodded.
"I got your coffee." Jason added, walking back in.
"I decided I didn't want it." I told him and he grumbled and walked away again, taking a sip for himself. "Time to set the next 'plot twist' in action!" I grinned and leapt through the portal.
I fell through bright blue light for a while, gripping the amulet, before I landed on the ground outside the Mystery Shack. I got up and dusted myself off. Time to get to work.
I reminded myself the three rules of bring here: Don't be seen, disturb nothing, and have fun!
Ariel made the last one.
I just had to plant the amulet and get out.
I checked my watch. It was 5:43, so Mabel would be watching TV. I just had to throw the amulet so it hit the back door and Mabel would open the door, find the amulet, and, knowing her, accidentally turn it three times.
I pulled back my arm and threw. The amulet soared through the air before hitting the door perfectly in the middle.
Grinning, I ducked behind a bush and peeked up over the top. Sure enough, Mabel opened the door, looked around, and saw the amulet. She picked it up and, investigating it, and then turned it.
One.
It was time for me to leave. I flipped open my watch to reveal a glowing blue button, which would send me back home. I grinned.
Two.
This had been easy. This would make a great episode, I just knew it.
Three.
I pushed the button and there was a flash of blue light, and I found myself back in the production room.
"I'm out!" I cheered, fist pumping.
"That was a close one." Ariel reminded me, furrowing her brow. "You can't be so reckless, you might actually be in danger one of these days."
I ignored her. "Cameras on."
"Already done!" Jason announced, happy to be useful for once.
"Good. I'm going home." I nodded briskly. "I had a lot of planning I was doing earlier today. And minimal thievery. I'm tired and so I'm heading home." I glanced at Ariel. "Wanna hang at my place tonight?"
"Yeah, sure, it's been a while since we had a twin night." Ariel smiled.
"Sounds good!" I grinned. "To my house!"
We both marched happily out of the studio and got into my car. I turned the ignition and began the drive to my house.
"It's gonna be a fun night." Ariel said.
"It's gonna be a fun night indeed." I agreed.
~
Okay so this is going to get good.
"This is gonna be a fun night"
I am a walking cliche
Oh well.
