5. Let's Get Cracking

Su Qing was a studious kid while she was alive. She had wanted to make her parents happy, so she made effort to get good grades. Non-physical activities were maybe, the only things that she could do well.

Back then, she felt relieved that she belonged to the academic type as she had no problems with studying. Now, she felt lucky and even grateful that she could experience a totally new life where she need not, please anyone but herself.

Su Qing was excited. She quickly read about her "white space" and found out from the user manual that she could exchange for furniture, furnishings etc with all she had in the attribute list, or even special items, except karma points.

Before long, Su Qing was tapping away at the screen, reading with excitement, truly captivated by what her choice was offering her.

Right now, Su Qing could only access sections for beginners in the user manual. Besides information on the white space that every destiny maker gets to own, there was also some basic information about missions.

The difficulty level for beginner missions range from 1 to 2.5 out of 5. Intermediate missions range from 2.6 to 3.7 out of 5 and difficult missions start from 3.8 to 5 out of 5.

Su Qing stared at the locked sections of the manual, puffed a sigh and decided to dive into her first mission.

As she took a good look at the white space around, she made a remark.

"The ones who started this destiny maker thing sure know how to get their staff to work.

"Let's get cracking then. 777, recommend me missions that you think are good for beginners."

Although the manual stated that beginners could access to beginner and intermediate missions, Su Qing did not want to rush.

She was brought up that one should never rush into things, as the outcome would be less than desirable.

"Let me see..." 777 responded.

Three seconds later, 777's recommendation appeared before Su Qing in the form of a light screen. There were two missions before her:

Beginner Mission
Difficulty Level: 1.5 out of 5

Dai Qing died at the age 28, she became a delinquent at young age due to her parent's failed marriage. Her mother gave up the right to fight for her custody. Her dad remarried a year later and she started to stray from a seemingly good path in life when she befriended hooligans and like, she took up smoking and even consumed drugs later on. The final straw was when she stole from her dad and was sent to jail after her rehabilitation.

Nobody went to pick her up after her release many years after. She was practically abandoned. She had to take on odd jobs to earn a living as it was difficult for a ex-convict to find a proper job. When she managed to find her dad, she felt a deep pang of anguish which she dashed through a cross junction in an attempt to confront her dad and was killed instantly in a fatal car accident.

Destiny Maker will relive Dai Qing's life till 28 years old where Dai Qing will decide if she is satisfied with the results. This will directly impact the amount of mission points awarded.

Dai Qing's wish:
"I am angry but I don't know what I am angry about! Impress me, Destiny Maker! Show me how you will live without knowing what will happen next!"

Dai Qing's special request: The Destiny Maker will not receive Dai Qing's entire life memories, and not use System's abilities nor tools but destiny maker gets to start from three years old onwards.

Su Qing raised an eyebrow at the request.

Fair enough, she thought, only then you will be appeased and move on.

777 commented, "She was such an angry soul that her anger caught my attention. This type of missions are the best for beginners like you, just that the rewards are not so great. This type is also good when you want to take a break from tough missions.

"The catch here is you need to figure out, or simply put, to appease her anger."

777 added, "if you manage to satisfy the condition, you might receive bonus points or even a special attribute!"

Alright, she replied, let's look at the next one.
