This time, the text read out: "'I guess Red Like Roses Part 1 is technically a song about Ruby Rose? It played in her trailer after all. But it contains references to all of Team RWBY. Speaking of, I feel like I should remind you that Faunus don't exist on Earth. That won't make it okay, but...y'know, context.'"
"I had a trailer? Neat." Ruby said while Blake pondered over that last bit. "And it's a part 1. Alright, let's get started."
[*Calm Melody*]
"...wait, so, where's the words?" Nora asked.
"They'll be coming, I assume." Ren replied.
"...This is rather lovely." Pyrrha commented.
"...pretty soothing, yeah." Jaune replied as Team RWBY waited in anticipation.
[Red like roses fills my dreams]
"Ah, this part's about me." Ruby declared.
"Do you...often dream about roses?" Blake half-jokingly asked.
"Eh, look, it's probably a metaphor, right?" Ruby replied
[And brings me to the place you rest]
"...so what's this one about?" Nora asked. Ruby & Yang knew what it was about, though. They just saw it half an hour ago. They weren't expecting their own issues to be brought up. Seeing that Ruby wasn't going to speak up, Yang did instead.
"It's...her mom's grave." Yang explained.
"She was your mom too." Ruby muttered.
"I...yeah." Yang replied. Everyone looked at the sisters with sadness, none more so than Ozpin.
[White is cold and always yearning]
"I am not!" Weiss declared, one the one hand happy to change the subject but not liking where this was going.
"You kind of were at first." Blake stated bluntly. "Remember how we met?"
"...Yes, but...I've gotten better, right?" Weiss begged.
"...I'd say so." Blake admitted. "At least on that first count..." she muttered to herself.
[Burdened by a Royal Test]
"So you actually are an Ice Queen?" Nora asked excitedly.
"No, it's...more of a metaphor, honestly." Weiss replied. "Not an inaccurate one..." she muttered to herself as well. Seeing this, Ruby reached out to her partner to comfort her.
[Black the Beast descends from shadows]
"...Wow that is racist." Yang eventually spoke up after a few moments of silence. "That is racist, right?" she asked Blake.
"It...is." Blake got out, clearly a little livid. Still, she composed herself and continued, "But, if Faunus don't exist on Earth, if to them we're just made up, then...they wouldn't really know. That doesn't make it okay, but..."
Weiss looked at herself in shame before piping up. "Okay, next verse?"
[Yellow beauty burns....Gold]
"...is that it?" Yang asked. "I mean, I know I'm pretty, but..."
"And modest too." Blake replied. "But I do see your point. Seems a bit...underwhelming."
"...maybe we should have swapped?" Yang proposed. "I dunno, might fit better. Don't know why, but...."
"So you're saying I'm pretty, then?" Blake responded.
"I, um, I-moving on." Yang stammered out as Ruby & Blake exchanged a smirk & Nora grinned.
[*Picks up action music*]
"Heh, I like this, it's pumping up!" Nora said.
"...if it was part of a trailer, does that mean this was playing during the fight scene?" Weiss wondered.
"What makes you think my trailer had a fight scene?" Ruby asked indignantly.
"Ruby." Blake deadpanned. "You'll fight everything that even looks like a Grimm."
"Yeah I mean, I know how this sounds like coming from me, but..." Yang added.
"Okay, yes! I was attacked by Baby Beowolves when visiting mom one time, I guess it looked cool, whatever." Ruby huffed.
Everyone just smiled at that. Even Ozpin and Glynda had a bit of a smirk, not that she'd ever admit it. Though the smiles did fade as they considered the implications of that. Eventually, the song wrapped up.
"...So, what do we think?" Ruby asked.
"It was nice." Pyrrha offered.
"Calming." Ren added.
"Revealing..." Weiss muttered.
"Unfortunate." Blake spoke up.
"Could have been a bit more energetic." Yang admitted.
"Part 2 better be more action packed." Nora grumbled.
"Sad." Ozpin responded. As everyone turned to look at him, he elaborated, "The lyrics...they were, as Ms. Schnee said, revealing. Of things that you're going through or how others see you. I'm...sorry for intruding upon that."
Team RWBY looked at each other before Ruby responded, "Don't worry about it, it's fine. We knew it was gonna get...personal, right? Least we'll be better prepared, right?"
"Ms. Rose, if you're sure-" Glynda began, looking a little uncomfortable herself. Ruby cut her off before she could finish.
"Yeah I'm sure. We got this." Ruby confirmed. Then she realized that she just interrupted Professor Goodwitch. "Oh, um, sorry about-".
"As you said, it's fine, Ms. Rose." Glynda confirmed. "Now, what's up next?"
"Well, looks like iiiiiit's.." Ruby was having fun with this. "...Mirror Mirror Part 1!" Just as she said that, she noticed a sharp intake of breath from her partner.

One of the original author's quirks seems to use ALL-CAP words to emphasize their meaning, I've been switching to Italics so you can spot them as you read, but they won't be so eye catching that you skim the story to get to that word first.
ex.:
"Though their smiles DID fade..."
"Though their smiles did fade..."
