The sun was already high in the sky when Neo and Charles returned to their apartment. They had spent the whole night making out.
They couldn't even remember how many rounds they did. Only the morning sky caught their attention and stopped them to go anymore wild as they remembered that anyone would come to this place soon.
After texting Chloe they took their leave.
They felt exhausted but happy, their hearts still beating fast from the adrenaline. They opened the door of their apartment and went inside holding each other's hands with a smile on their faces.
They stumbled directly into their bedroom, not bothering to turn on the lights or close the curtains. They kicked off their shoes and clothes, leaving a trail of fabric on the floor. They crawled into their bed, feeling the softness of the sheets and the warmth of the blankets. They wrapped their arms around each other, feeling the comfort of their bodies and the intimacy of their breaths.
They kissed gently, whispering words of love and gratitude,
Charles: Can't we do it again?
Neo: Shut up and sleep. We can do it once we regain our energy.
They closed their eyes, letting go of the worries and the troubles and drifted into a deep and peaceful sleep, cuddling each other like two spoons in a drawer.

.Neo woke up with a growl in his stomach. He looked at the clock and saw that it was past midnight. He felt a pang of hunger, but he didn't want to disturb Charles, who was sleeping soundly next to him. He gently kissed his forehead and got out of the bed, careful not to make any noise.
He walked to the kitchen, feeling sore in his back, and his muscles were still aching. He stretched his arms and legs, trying to ease the pain, but it didn't help much. He made his way to the kitchen while limping. He mumbled,
Neo: How embarrassing.
He got a whole flashback from yesterday's steamy night which made his ears turn red.
He shook his thoughts and decided to cook something simple and quick, hoping that it would fill his stomach and relax his body.
He opened the fridge and took out some eggs, cheese, and bread. He cracked the eggs in a bowl and whisked them with some salt and pepper. He grated the cheese and sprinkled it over the bread slices. He put them in the toaster oven and set the timer. He poured some oil in a pan and heated it over the stove. He added the eggs and scrambled them with a spatula. He smelled the aroma of the cheese and the bread, and his mouth watered.
He took out two plates and two glasses from the cabinet. He divided the eggs and the cheese toast between the plates. He filled the glasses with some orange juice. He carried the food to the bedroom, hoping to surprise Charles with a late-night snack. He smiled, thinking of how much he loved him.
He entered the bedroom and put the food on the nightstand. He turned on the lamp and looked at Charles, who was still sleeping.
He noticed that his face was flushed and his forehead was sweaty. He touched his cheek and felt that it was hot. He realized that Charles had caught a cold and had a fever. He felt a surge of worry and concern.
He gently shook his shoulder and called his name.
Neo: Charles, wake up. You're not well. You have a fever.
He hoped that his voice would be soothing and comforting.
Charles opened his eyes and looked at Neo. He saw the food on the nightstand and the worry on his face. He smiled weakly and said,
