"My name is Monica Orin. I'm a 14 year old artist and I love to write...no. No. That doesn't sound right," I sighed as I paced around the room.
"It sounds fine to me," Esme, my best friend, smiled up at me. Her pale face shone brightly with interest while her milk chocolate brown eyes blinked slowly.
Esme has been my best friend since the second grade and I don't know where I'd be without her. She was also the most beautiful girl I've ever seen by far. Her glossy hazelnut color hair that reached just below her shoulders. Her skin was awfully pale, almost white but that only added to how pretty she was. When Esme smiled she had these two pointed teeth that only I seemed to notice and she had told me that it was a weird thing about her. I pushed it aside.
Esme was my beautiful best friend who I'd never want to go anywhere without. We had sleepovers quite often at my house, especially since it was the summer.
"Calm down, Momo," Esme placed a hand on my shoulder, "We don't have school for another week."
"I know, I know. But this moment will only happen once! There are no redos in time!" I threw my hands up in the air to exaggerate the meaning.
"Oh Momo, what am I ever going to do with you?" Esme shook her head with a smile.
"You could throw me off a cliff and hope I land on pointy rocks," I suggested.
"Why would I do that?" Esme gasped.
I squinted my eyes, "For...fun?" I guessed not even sure why I said that.
Esme slapped her face with her palm. Okay kids, that's what we teenagers call a facepalm.
Cue the gasping kids!
Okay. Not really, they're not any kids around here. I picked up my stuffed zebra and hugged him tightly.
"Why don't we take a break from the introductions and watch a movie?" Esme suggested probably not wanting to hear me practice speaking to people. I guess that was pretty stupid.
A grin appeared across my face and I qgave a little double jump night elf style, "Oh! Yes! Tonight's my pick!" I squealed.
"Oh god no," Esme sighed and sprawled herself across the bed, "None of that Vampire crap."
"Too bad," I giggled and took out The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, "You don't understand the feels! You must read the books." I insisted.
"I'd rather eat a rainbow-puking pony. Plus, none of that stuff about vampires is even true! Vampires do not sparkle and we don't even have a vampire ruler! Vampires roam free!" Esme explained then her eyes quickly became wide like she said something she wasn't suppose to.
"Since when are you the vampire expert?" I raised my eyebrows suspiciously and gave her the stare.
"Momo, please don't stare at me like that! You know it bothers me how you can stare into my soul!" She whined and threw a pillow at my face with full force and I was sent to the ground.
"Man down...man down..." I groaned into the carpet.
"Sorry!" Esme gasped and ran to my side, "Hehe. Sometimes I don't know my own strength." Her laugh was nervous and I could tell she was trying to cover something.
"Ugh. Your strength is so unnatural. I'm serious, you could be on the football team and never hit the ground," I complained.
"Let's get to watching Twilight!" Esme jumped up with wide arms randomly trying to change the subject.
I rolled my eyes and crawled onto my bed. She gets weirder everyday.
