"So, who are you exactly?" DiNozzo broke the silence in the elevator. "I had already told you my name." "that's not what I meant," he said, but I knew that. I was just... Playing. "Kind of a job offer.Well, not that much of an offer. I signed in to NCIS." "And Gibbs has already given you an assigment. That is MORE than just unusual. Gibbs...."-he smirked- " well, let's just say he doesn't take newbies so easily. The matter of fact, he doesn't take them at all." What was that supposed to mean? I looked at him for a second but didn't see anything other than his silly smirk. Should it have worried me? We left in silence. I quickly ran to my car to leave my bag there and went back to see DiNozzo waiting for me in a beautiful Dodge Charger. No need to say I fell in love with the car. Dinozzo, however, got out of it tossing me the keys. "You're driving!" "as you wish" Now that was something that surprised me, why did he want me to drive? But as soon as we exchanged seats I caught him yawning, asuumed he was just wanting to get some sleep. Oh. Soon enough, I heard myself saying- "It's a nice car. We didn't have Dodge Chargers in FBI." "Aaah, so FBI. Fornell?" "yeah," it certainly didn't bother me, talking about my ex-job, I had gotten used to questions like that one. "What made you leave? Didn't like it?" "Does it matter?" I didn't get an answer so I kept going. "Adress?" "Here it is," he handed me a piece of paper with an adress. "That's 35 minutes away." I tried to hand him back the paper , only to see him halfway asleep, finishing his pizza.. "Not enough for you to sleep." I raised my voice. "Hey! You cannot stop me from sleeping." "Alright. Then make yourself comfortable." Guess who was the one having a sarcastic smirk on now, I thought as I held the wheel tighter. To shorten it, when we reached Carrie Marshall's house DiNozzo got out screaming at me: "You're insane! You could've KILLED US. We made it in 15 minutes instedad of 35!" "So what?" "So what?! I don't need another crazy fast-driver that doesn't let me sleep! Next time I'm sure as hell taking McGee." "another?" I was laughing. "You drive like Ziva!" "you're exagherating." "There was absolutely no need for outdriving four cars in a row!" "Who's Ziva?" I asked but immediately stopped DiNozzo from answering. The doors were left ajar so I took out Gibbs' gun and took the front door. He didn't seem satisfied about me taking the front door, but there was no time, I was closer to it anyways. I got in raising my gun. I saw a body on the floor but went to check the kitchen. I heard a voice yell "Clear!" so I answered, "Clear!! Seems like we've got another victim" I pointed at Carrie Marshall's lifeless body on the floor, covered in blood. "Boss, new body." I heard DiNozzo say behind me. "She was stabbed too." I couldn't help noticing. We stood there in silence until he broke it: "Do you realise what you have just done. I'm dead if Gibbs finds out about this." "I Know. I'm sorry", an expression of guilt took over my face. "As soon as I realised the doors had been left open, my instincts kicked in. I shouldn't have-" "- well you definitely shouldn't have. What if the killer was in here? Holding a knife? A gun? A person who had just murdered two people, agaist a probie? Gibbs is gonna murder me if he finds out about what we- what YOU did." "Gibbs had given me his gun for a reason, he obviously knows I can handle it. But I don't want to get you into any trouble, so since it was my fault, he'll never find out."
That body on the floor somehow made me really nervous and Tony noticed: "Wanna go wait outside?" "Yeah, maybe? We're babbeling next to a corpse. It makes me nervous. And is unfair for poor Carrie Marshall."
