(written in 3rd person) Zee and Damian, being best "friends" had always chosen to partner with each other. Alongside Nichelle, of course.
But then, when Nichelle got eliminated, it was just Zee and Damian. They didn't mind because their company was enough for each other.
Until a challenge was brought up, Zee and Damian were partnered with each other like usual. Nobody cared, but someone came over. "Hey, Damian! My number two. Wanna partner up?" Wayne said cheerfully. "Sorry, Wayne, I am with Zee. Maybe another time?" Damian replied without hesitation, Zee noticed that and Wayne could notice a slight smile on Zee's face. He knew what was happening, and he was going to make sure it happened. "Ooookay then. I will leave you two alone" Wayne chuckled to himself before leaving. "What was that about?" Damian questioned, obviously rhetorically. "I don't know man." Zee spoke. "It was rhetori- You know what? Nevermind." Damian sighed. He knew trying to explain anything to Zee would end up giving them both a major headache.
//Time skip to carrying the boat//
Priya and Caleb started flirting, which everyone could see. No one really cared though, because they are yet to be the most boring and obvious couple. Everyone could tell, especially Damian and Zee. Infact, Damian used to like Priya. he was in love with her, not anymore. He couldn't help but feel happy for the two lovers though, they had so much in common.
"Caleb and Priya, thoughts?" Zee blurted out obliviously, forgetting that Damian told him about his past crush on Priya. Damian grunted his teeth. "You already know it." Damian finally said, but it was more of a mutter. "Ohh, You like her, don't you?" Zee remarked loud enough, for everyone to hear, including those Damian didn't want to know.
Zee could hear a gasp coming from the opposite direction and saw Priya and Caleb holding their own boat. That's when he knew he messed up. Somehow, he had confused his words. Damian USED to like her, he lost his feelings when Caleb and Priya started talking. He may of felt slightly sad, but Damian for sure no longer liked her. Before Zee could even muster up anything to say, Damian ran into the woods leaving a shocked Priya and guilty Zee.
Zee didn't even care about the relationship of Caleb and Priya at that point, he just wanted to know if Damian was alright. I mean, Damian was the only person that tolerated Zee, others would lock him in a 'metaphorical locker' until he stopped being clingy, Damian wasn't like that. With no hesitation whatsoever, Zee ran after Damian.
"What. Was. That." blurted out Priya, obviously bewildered.
