She said yes.

She finally agreed to become the Luna of our pack.

I was still buzzing from last night's dinner. I set the date for her Luna Ceremony and it was to be held the day after her graduation ceremony which was two months from now. I was filled with so much joy that I teleported us back to our room, forgetting to give her the gifts I'd bought for her which were now tucked away in a drawer in my closet. Maybe it wasn't the best time to give them to her.

Last night, after we got back to our room, we spent the night in each other's arms, our lips locked in a dance as old as time. I did my best to restrain myself from undressing her and taking her right there and then. As much as I wanted to, I knew I had to wait. Kira was far from ready for any of that and I didn't want to mistakenly get her pregnant, especially now, when she's just about to start her career. She was so young and from what I gathered from her thoughts, she had never really experienced life. Tying her down with a pup would be the worst thing I could possibly do.

This morning she woke up before me and left for uni. When I got up, I found her dress on the floor beside our bed and a bright red lip print on my cheek. I couldn't help but smile as I thought about her undressing in our room instead of the closet. The fact that she even kissed my cheek before heading out showed that our bond was getting stronger even after it had been stretched thin over the past few months.

"Whoa man, what's got you smiling like an idiot?"

The sound of my younger brother's voice brought me out of my head. My eyes immediately snapped to his identical ones as he trudged toward my desk from the office door with his mate in tow. My sister-in-law sent a wink my way with a cheeky smile making me roll my eyes.

"You wouldn't be thinking 'bout my friend there, would you Alpha?" she teased with her southern twinged voice.

Alucard chuckled and I sighed lazily, pulling a random file on my desk toward me.

"What do you want, Alucard?" I asked dryly.

My brother raised a brow at me, grabbing his mate's hand, "You called us here, remember?

I let out a disgruntled breath, running a hand through my hair. I need to get Kira out of my head and focus. How could I forget that I sent for them?

"Right," I grunted, "I called you both here to announce that Kira's Luna Ceremony will be in two months' time after she has graduated from the university."

Jessabelle's eyes widened and an excited squeal followed, "She's finally agreed to do it?!"

Alucard kissed the side of his wife's face with a chuckle, "Calm down, amica mea."

"Calm down? My best friend is becoming the Luna of this pack! Heck, we're finally gonna have a Luna after so many years!"

I chuckled at her excitement, "You consider her your best friend, Jess?"
