The year is 20XX, and automata have taken the world. This story follows Jadel, a compassionate engineer. She is one of the few humans that survived.
Jadel was looking for something, anything useful. Food, water, parts, they would all do. If she could find any.
"Why can't I find anything?" She groaned.
Electrical circuitry buzzed and glitched and hummed, demanding her attention. It was a disassembled bot.
"Well-well hi!" The glitchy bot chimed as Jadel approached "Wh-wh-who are y-y-y-you?"
"Doesn't matter." She replied
"H-h-h-h-huh, I can't find [DOESN'T MATTER] in the citizens list." The glitchy bot said.
"And what's your name?" Jadel retorted
"AXE-E-EL46A9. Or Axel for short" Axel replied diligently.
"Well... Axel, we-" She was briefly interrupted by the blare of hunter bots approaching "have to run!" She bolts off with the defective bots head in her hands, detached from the rest of his body. The blare is approaching. Fast.
"A human?" One destroyer bot said
"I thought we killed them all" another replied
"This one surely won't be much harder, will it?" The third bot interjected.
"Think again suckers!" Jadel called up to the destroyer bots before suddenly changing direction.
