Chapter 36 - Rachel And Eddie's Party

Rachel and Eddie were having their enagagment party and for Rachel it was a chance to show her and Eddie's love for each other.

That morning Chloe sat downstairs with Aubree who was scared in case her daddy shouted at her for seeing his 'special area' "mummy, you not told daddy our secwet have you?" Chloe smiled "no I told you that's our secret" Aubree nodded "thank you mummy. I no want daddy to shout at me" Chloe grinned "he won't shout" Aubree climbed onto her mummy's lap "I love you mummy" Chloe kissed Aubree's head "I love you too princess".

Charlotte was planning on going shopping that day with Chloe in order to get some dresses for the party that night "Tom I'm going over to Chloe and Max's now" Tom came downstairs with TJ and nodded "have fun" Charlotte smiled "see you later" Charlotte left after giving Tom a passionate kiss.

Chloe was getting dressed when Max came in "so, what's this secret you have with our daughter?" Chloe turned and grinned "can't tell you" Max smirked "why's that?" Chloe shrugged "she asked me not to tell" Max nodded "right well as your future boss I think you should tell me" Chloe smirked "that right?" Max nodded again "indeed" Chloe grinned "can't use that one yet" Max  pressed Chloe up against the wardrobe and kissed her "is that right?" Chloe grinned "yeah" Max kissed her again just as the doorbell rang "saved by the bell" Max left Chloe to continue getting dressed and he went to answer the door.

Chloe and Charlotte arrived in the shopping centre and headed to the clothes shops "Aubree is convinced Max is going to shout at her for seeing his 'special area" Charlotte smiled "does Max know that she saw?" Chloe shook her head "no, I think I should tell him though" Charlotte nodded "yeah, I think you should too" Chloe sighed "I'll tell him after the party tonight" Charlotte smiled "don't tell Aubree that you told him" Chloe scoffed "and risk her temper? No thanks" Charlotte laughed.

Max could tell there was something wrong with Aubree as whenever he walked into a room she got scared. After it happened once more Max decided to speak with Aubree "come here" Aubree came over but she looked petrified "why are you scared?" Aubree's lips started quivering "it my secwet with mummy" Max smiled "you can tell me" Aubree shook her head "no cause mummy crossed her fingers so I can't say" Max sighed "you can tell me" Aubree shook her head "I no want you to shout at me" Max frowned "I won't shout" Aubree nodded "you will" Max nodded "go and play" Aubree went upstairs.

Chloe and Charlotte stopped off for a drink "I'm worried about Tom, this lump is making him self-concious, he wears pyjama bottoms for bed, he never usually" Chloe sighed "I'm sorry" Charlotte felt tears hit her "I can't lose him Chloe, I wouldn't cope" Chloe hugged Charlotte "you won't lose him, I promise" Charlotte wiped her eyes "I can't get worked up about this, tonight is meant to be a happy night" Chloe grinned 'that's my girl" Charlotte smiled.

Tom saw that Taitlyn had been acting distant with him and he wanted to know why "Taitlyn come here" Taitlyn didn't move from the sofa so Tom came and sat with her "why are you hiding from daddy?" Taitlyn looked up "because I sawed your special area and your poorly" Tom was angry "why were you hiding in the bathroom?" Taitlyn started crying "cause Aubree saw her daddy's" Tom stood and looked at Taitlyn "you don't have to do what Aubree does" Taitlyn was crying again "I want mummy" Tom stood "she's gone out" Taitlyn climbed off the sofa and went upstairs. Tom knew shouting at Taitlyn was wrong but he felt angry, he knew that Aubree had told Taitlyn to do it.

Chloe and Charlotte went  back to Charlotte's in Chloe's car. When they got into the house they saw Tom glaring "your daughter is a bad influence on Taitlyn" Chloe frowned "you what?" Tom nodded "you heard, she told Taitlyn to spy on me in the bathroom" Chloe rolled her eyes "Tom, they're bound to be curious" Tom scoffed "not hard to see where Aubree gets it from" Chloe glared just as Taitlyn came downstairs "mummy, daddy shouted at me" Charlotte puck Taitlyn up "why did you shout at her?" Tom rolled his eyes "she was spying on me in the bathroom because her kid told her too" Chloe glared "Charl, I'm sorry but I'm not having that" Chloe turned and left.

Charlotte watched as Chloe drove off  "thanks Tom, she probably hates me now" Tom shrugged "we don't need bad influences around Taitlyn" Charlotte scoffed "Tom! Aubree and Taitlyn are family" Tom rolled his eyes "Charlotte, me and our kids are the only family you need" Charlotte puck Taitlyn "I think you should apologise to Chloe" Tom shook his head "I won't apologise for believing her kid is a bad influence on my daughter" Charlotte scoffed and walked upstairs with Taitlyn "mummy can Aubree be my friend?" Charlotte nodded "yeah she can, she's your best friend isn't she?" Taitlyn nodded "yes" Charlotte smiled "you can play with her at granddad's party can't you?" Taitlyn nodded "yeah".

Chloe was fuming when she got home "Chloe?" Chloe looked at Max and shook her head, she walked into the kitchen and poured herself a glass of vodka, as soon as she downed it she went to pour another but Max took the bottle from her "what happened?" Chloe sighed "Tom, he said Aubree was a bad influence on Taitlyn because she told her to do something and then he said 'not hard to see where she gets it from" Max got angry "ignore him" Chloe shrugged "I don't care, I want Tom to stay away from Aubree" Max nodded.

~ A Few Hours Later ~

Chloe, Max and the girls had just arrived at the venue for the party "Chloe, you look beautiful" Chloe smiled "thanks mum" Max took Aubree and Isla to get a drink while Chloe spoke with her mum and Tom walked in with Charlotte and the kids "hi Chloe" Chloe grinned at Charlotte but she ignored  Tom and walked over to Max.

Tom sat down with Taitlyn "you're not allowed to play with Aubree" Taitlyn frowned "she my friend" Tom shook his head "no Taitlyn" Taitlyn started crying and Charlotte came over "what's happened?" Taitlyn looked up "daddy says I can't play with Aubree" Charlotte glared "grow up Tom" Tom stood "if I say something I mean it" Charlotte took Taitlyn's hand and got TJ's carseat "Lillie come with mummy" Tom frowned as Charlotte walked over to Chloe and Max.

The party was dying down and Tom was annoyed and Eddie came over "what's happened between you and Chloe?" Tom glared "her kid is a bad influence on Taitlyn" Eddie scoffed "grow up Tom, they're little girls" Tom frowned "Eddie, I want my kids to behave" Eddie rolled his eyes "Chloe and Charlotte have been friends for way longer than how long she's been with you" Tom stood "I'm her husband" Eddie shrugged "Chloe's her sister" "step-sister" Eddie sighed "family always comes first for Charlotte. Don't forget that".

The party had ended so Chloe went to say bye to her mum and Eddie while Max walked over to Tom "Chloe told me what you said, I think it's wise if you keep away from her" Tom shrugged "good, then maybe your kid will quit influencing my daughter" Max rolled his eyes and walked back over to Chloe before they got their sleeping daughters and left.

Tom and Charlotte had returned home and they put the kids to bed "I'm staying in the downstairs bedroom tonight" Tom sighed "Charlotte, I'm sorry" Charlotte shrugged "it's Chloe you should apologise to Tom" Tom watched as Charlotte walked downstairs. He climbed into bed and fell asleep hoping that he would be able to make it up with Charlotte.

Once Chloe and Max put Aubree and Isla they climbed into bed "Tom was wrong, Aubree isn't a bad influence" Chloe sighed "she's a little madam but that's it, she would never mean to get anyone into trouble" Max kissed Chloe before they both fell asleep.
