The ghostly streets of Georgetown were always tangled up among the dark gray houses from the windows of which the pale yellow color poured, drawing any visitor into the midst of not the most pleasant events.
Because this provincial town was buried up to its neck in bloody crimes and mysterious disappearances that no detective could solve, and those who tried disappeared for many months or even years, after which their disfigured bodies were found in local ditches or outside the city.
Linda Hamsworth is a young, green-eyed, dark short-haired, short journalist who has been involved in disappearances since her birth, because one of the most famous detectives Larry Hemsworth of the twenties of the twenty-first century was her father
who disappeared under mysterious circumstances when she was only 5 years and she was obsessed with the idea of learning and revealing the truth to the whole city about the causes of the disappearances and possible connections with the BridgeHallow farm, which is famous for its bad reputation because most of the bodies were found near the same farm and the fence smeared with blood suggested a direct connection of this farm with the disappearances
-Linda you stay too often after work in the office, you should rest more. -I am grateful to you for your concern Sarah, but I have to stay today because the feeling that I am already close to the solution does not leave me.
The office was completely empty and descended into pitch darkness, and only Linda's desk was lit by an old lamp, which was the only source in the huge office in which silence reigned and only the sound of keyboard typing dissolved the annoying silence.
The unexpected sharp sound of an unknown object falling to the floor distracted the stubborn journalist from work, this sound came from the part of the office where the kitchen and cutlery were located, perhaps it was someone's mug, but how could it fall by itself? Perhaps someone still remained in the office, but why didn't she see how some worker came from the office to the kitchen, because she would definitely notice it.
Having overcome her fear and armed herself with scissors that are in any office, she slowly and carefully moved towards the kitchen in complete darkness, since the switch was next to the entrance and her workplace was at the other end of the office
she could not turn on the light without going through the entrance to kitchen but in the same kitchen there was a switch so going there she would be able to illuminate the place where the sound was heard and understand what was really happening.
Having made her way to the kitchen, the switch was right near the entrance and all she had to do was reach out into the depths of the darkness to find the switch and turn on the light
and as soon as she started looking for the switch, she heard someone walk over the shards of glass roofing felts of ceramics and she felt a burning pain which pierced her arm she was in a state of shock but still managed to run to the entrance to the office and turn on the lights throughout the office.
When the light illuminated and dispelled all the pitch darkness, she was able to make out a bleeding wound on her arm and traces of roofing felts from teeth or from fangs. Going to the kitchen, part of which was illuminated by the light from the office
she was able to catch a glimpse of the silhouette in the dark and only when she turned on the light figure disappeared and on the floor her favorite mug was broken into pieces, which Sarah gave with the inscription friends forever.
Returning home in the morning, Linda could not get out of her head what had happened to her at work, goosebumps quickly slid across her pale skin, which meant slight anxiety flowing into incredible fear.
An old apartment on the edge of an ominous town has always been a place of concentration and relaxation for Linda on the most terrible days.
Entering her small room, which was illuminated by the dim light of a dusty lamp, she cast her tired glance at the wall of the room on which there were cut out articles from newspapers about missing people and mysterious deaths.
