Logan always felt out of place, especially when it came to his family. He was adopted, but not just by anyone, he was adopted by ex-mighty ducks, Adam Banks and Charlie Conway. His little sister already took some interest in hockey but while he tried his best, he never could. He related it too much with his biological parents that when he tried to do it too, all he could think about was them. His biological parents divorced when he was younger, and pushed him into hockey young so they didnt have to deal with him, so it was ironic two hockey stars had picked him as their own. At first he wasnt so sure he fit into the family, he wasnt sure he liked them. He connected with his little sister CeeCee first, then Adam, and lastly Charlie. It was weird, he wanted to call them both dad in the end but he wasnt sure how to start that transition.
He called Adam his Dad first, it was after a long emotional talk. Calling Charlie dad was emotional too, but the way he told them hit more close to home to Adam than it did Charlie. Adam had been forced into hockey when he was younger too, sure he liked hockey he loved hockey even, it was his whole life. But he didnt want to play forever, he retired before Charlie due to injury and thought it was just for the better. It was always Adam's dads dream for him to play til he physically couldnt anymore, but maybe the injury way isnt what he wanted, and he let Adam know that frequently. Logan and Adam didnt go through the same exact thing, but some bits and pieces he really related to, even though Logan acted the most like Charlie, Adam saw alot of himself in Logan.
Logan was getting ready for ice skating with his family, but he was horrible at it. Bombay used his hockey stick to help him skate, but Logan still failed everytime. Bombay always called him the mini Spazway, but he never really know what it meant.
Adam was helping him put all his knee pads and helmet on and such, making stuff a little too tight.
"Adam, can you loosen it a little, please?" Logan said fixed his hair before the helmet was plopped on his head and strapped on way too tight.
"I'm sorry buddy, I just dont want you hurting yourself." Adam said, taking a deep breath, and letting Charlie take over to loosen the stuff. The two cared alot about their kids, and they knew from when they were kids that ice is hard, they didnt want them falling and crying their eyes out at the rink.
"I'll be fine really, i promise." Logan assured, feeling a relief when his gear was looser.
Charlie got off his knee from loosening Logans knee pads, and stood up straight, putting his hands on his hips.
"We know you'll be, but it's just a extra precaution." Charlie said, softly spoken, he had a huge soft spot for CeeCee but a even bigger one for Logan.
"Well thank you for believing in me.." Logan said, his tiny voice almost making his dads emotional.
"Well of course, why wouldnt we?" Adam smiled and pat his back, trying not to laugh at a teary eyed Charlie. Even though he knew he would do the same later.
"I'm not the best skater." Logan put his head down, feeling a little embarrased. Charlie played in the Nhl, and Adam was retired, but they were both ex-ducks. It was a little intimidating when he couldnt live up to who his dads were.
"Don't say that, you're learning, you wont be a expert right away." Charlie assured before getting cut off a little bit by Adam's phone playing audio, he cocked a eyebrow. It was Charlies big mess up from when he played PeeWees. "Charlie wasn't the best either." Adam and Logam giggled in almost perfect unison as Charlie looked fake offended.
"Hey dont show him that!" Charlie giggled too, feeling some embarrassment.
"Its helping him feel better, right Logan?"
