When I got home I noticed the letter on the table that I had neglected to open. It had been pushed out of my thoughts all day but if it was from my dad... it was worth reading. I tore open the letter carefully as to not damage the envelope or what might be inside of it. Inside were two sheets of paper. The letter was full with fake documents, My new Date of birth and name was among other things.
One was the "purchase" of this property under the name of "Jux Sungam" and the other was a fake birth certificate, Apparently my dad was now "Mike S. Sungam" and my mom was "Alex J. Sungam". "The fuck kinda names are these." I muttered putting the documents in my nightstand drawer, these were papers I really couldn't afford to lose.
I went back into the main room of the house and started boiling the water for the pasta. As the water boiled I heard a knock. Who was out at ten? I cautiously opened the door and was greeted by a short woman with wild brown hair holding up a gray-and white tabby cat, Without any introduction she launched herself into conversation "Hello! I found this stray wandering around and I was wondering if you wanted it? I don't have enough space on my farm for much more animals..." I looked at the cat, "I mean I can take it-" I was cut off, "Great! Thank you so much!" I blinked in confusion as she threw the cat out of her hands and into mine, the cat was surprisingly calm about the exchange and happily bounced out of my hand towards the inside of the cottage.
The least that woman could I have done was given me supplies for the cat, I didn't know if pasta was good for cats or not, Sighing I rubbed my hand through my hair, it was pretty overdue for a haircut. Reaching my shoulders my hair could probably be shoved into a loose bun or ponytail. I frowned and removed my hand from my hair, noticing my log open on the table from when Sam was looking through it a couple of nights ago, I guess I forgot to put it away I decided to sit down and finish it since it was half-empty filling it up with everything I knew about the crops I was growing.
I wrote down every name of forage I had found so far, "Leek...Horseradish." Slowly steam starting to rise from the pot and I dumped the pasta inside of it, and then starting chopping up some tomatoes to make into a sauce. Soon enough the scent of the sauce and pasta carried far enough for the cat to smell and he started rubbing against my legs mewing for some food. I scrapped some pasta with sauce on a plate for me and took a small spoonful of plain pasta for the cat to eat, he happily ate it quickly and went back into the room he came from.

Sleeping on an old wooden table in an old wooden chair wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. My back made me feel like a senior citizen and the slight drool that had hit the table didn't help.
I started to clear out my plate of pasta we I didn't finish before deciding to shove the leftovers in the fridge to eat for lunch. My cat meowed at me scratching at the door, "You better not run away." I muttered opening it for him, he ran outside happily and starting chasing squirrels, I smiled and left the door slightly open for him while I finished tidying the house and getting ready for the morning.
A light knock rapped on my door opening it a little curious I opened it fully. A woman I didn't recognize with a brown braid wrapping around her shoulder and a kind smile answered, "Hello, We havn't met but I think you might have met my son? I'm Jodi, Sam's mom." She greeted me warmly but I sensed a request on the tip of her tounge as she offered a handshake. "Nice to meet you, I'm Jux." I replied trying to mimic the warmth which was a struggle considering the sun had just begun to rise. "Not to bother you so early in the morning but I was going to prepare some Casserole tonight but can't find a Large Bass anywhere! I was wondering if you had any?" I frowned trying to remember if I had any. I shook my head, I remembered catching a few in the mountain lakes earlier but didn't have any right now. "I might be able to catch one for you, if you want? But I don't have any right now." I responded.
