There's nothing much to say here aside from: the chapters may be a touch shorter while Linwan is imprisoned. You know, cause she can't get much adventure when being held captive by some crazy fate driven lady demon thing.

Linwan quietly hummed to herself, as broken as it was, until she heard someone's voice slowly come in. "Hey, kid." She found herself a bit confused before smiling softly and practically whispering her reply. "Hey." "How you holding up?" "Tired... Fuzzy head." She took a second to gather her thoughts, her head still feeling like hell from another fight with that damned Mayor. "You really going after them?" She heard a small sigh. "You know I've got to. You heard what she said." "... I know, but maybe-" "Sorry, kid. I can't risk it. Your body already seems ready to shut down too." "... I know... At least go easy on them?" "We'll see what happens." She hummed in response. "I'll see ya later kid." "I'll just be... hanging around." She tried to joke and heard an airy chuckle before there was a long amount of silence. With the silence being deafening, she began to quietly hum through another wave of pain.

It didn't take too long for the voice to return, quiet as a whisper. "Kid. You there?" "Mhm." "I'm getting closer... How's your head?" "Mm... Still a little fuzzy." There was a small pause before she heard a sigh. "You shouldn't have fought him." "He asked for it." "I know kid, I know. How about you rest?" She softly shook her head in an attempt at a better coherence, but it just made her mind fuzz again. "They won't let me relax. Every time I try to, the chains tighten." She paused. "Guess they find me easier to handle like this... Bunch of babies." "Heh, yeah. I'll handle this, alright?" "... Okay." She hissed slightly at her chains tightening. "You'll be okay, Little Shade, so just hold tight." She wanted to respond to his attempt at easing her, but her vision swam a bit. The mixture of injuries (especially a head injury), lack of sleep, and overexerting her body after tons of adrenaline was starting to catch up and the black dots proved that. "Kid?" Her head drooped a bit before she hissed at the tightening chains again. "O-ok..."

A few blasts from a jet flyer hit the Dronecopter, sending everyone running for cover, though the attacker was sure to miss. They were more warning shots to show they were there. "The Lady Bone Demon?! How did she find us already?!" The pig asked, and Wukong let out a small "oh no." The kid even tried to grab onto a staff that wasn't there. Well, show time. "Oh, Wuuukoooong!" Macaque laughed a bit. "Oh, that's a relief. I thought it was someone important." "Heh, always the comedian." He leaned forward a bit and spoke a bit softer. "Hey kiddo, ya miss me?" MK rubbed his face then glared. "No! Guys get outta here!" 'Can't say I didn't try to be nice.' He snickered and fired at everyone as he raced by, not caring enough to pay attention to their panicked talk as he disappeared. "Hoo hoo, looking a little banged up there, Monkey King. The kid too. Looks like our old friend, the Lady Bone Demon, really did a number on you guys." Wukong glared at the sky. "So what? You're her puppet now? I mean, makes sense. You did always have a side-kick kind of vibe." 'This prick.' Macaque dove in from behind and jumped onto Wukong when he and MK dodged the jet. He quickly pinned him down and smirked. "You know me. There's a new player in town, I'm just feeling out which one is the winning side." He stared Wukong down, somewhat hoping he'd realize the issue at hand, but MK came running over with a piece of metal before the stare down's meaning could get through. He threw Wukong up and kicked him away before catching MK. "Not smart, bud."
