Lucia's POV

I woke up with Pablo still by my side. It was a recurring habit lately for me to wake up in his bed. It had started when I was too lazy to get up and sleep in my own bed after a movie night, so I just stayed in his room, snuggled into his embrace.

After we talked a bit longer outside yesterday he led me upstairs, then turned around in front of his door.

Pablo didn't say anything but I could see in his eyes he wanted me to stay the night. I smiled softly, giving him enough assurance for him to open his bedroom door, a hand on my lower back to lead me inside.

Thats how I ended up awake next to him, scratching his back softly so he would wake up.

It was already ten in the morning, Pablo had practice at twelve.

At eleven, Pablo finally stopped being a whiny kid and accepted the fact he had to head out soon instead of lazing around with me and give up my back scratches.

I got up soon after too, getting ready to do nothing for the nth time since my injury.

I took a long shower, then realized I didn't have any other shirts left in my closet, all of them were either dirty or in the wash. I dismissed the idea of wearing a hoodie as it was over 25 degrees outside, so I headed over to Pablo's closet and grabbed myself one of his nike shirts.

I wobbled downstairs and put away the last dishes laying around before doing my exercises my physio advised me to do.

A few hours later after I've finished everything and was about to text Pablo, the doorbell rang three times. I was so confused because Pablo wouldn't be home until later so the desperate ringing made me nervous.

I peeked out of the door as I opened it and was met with a girl my age.

„Hi! Oh my god! You must be Lucia right?" The girl said while I desperately tried to think who she was.

„I am yes." I said, trying to sound nice even though I still couldn't puzzle together who she was. Her face seemed familiar but I just couldn't place her anywhere.

„I'm Aurora, Pablo's sister."

Boom, there it was. Pablo's sister.

Aurora grinned, she probably saw how I only understood now.

My eyes widened and a loud „aah" out of realization left my lips.

„Aurora! Of course, come in!" I said, fully opening the door for her to come in.

„Isn't Pablo home?" She asked as soon as we reached the living room.

„No, not yet. He told me he'd be back at around three." It was a tad awkward, her being in her own home but a random girl opened the door for her.

„Oh... he'd told me he would be home at two. Maybe I hadn't heard him right."

We sat down together by the kitchen island, trying to ease the awkwardness.

Aurora quickly looked me up and down, a slight smirk forming on her lips as she realized I was wearing one of her brothers shirts. I blushed, knowing it probably looked a bit suspicious.

„Pablo told me and our parents you would be living with him for the moment, right?" She went to grab us two glasses of water.

„Yeah, my apartment had a gas leak and now they need to renovate the whole building. To that time I only knew your brother so I asked if I could crash at his place. My club can't pay another rent and Pablo was nice enough to let me stay." I was trying to leave a good impression, who knows how often I'll meet Aurora in the future.

„He told us he really likes living with you."

„He did?" It made me smile that Pablo talked to his family about me, though it made me nervous too.

„Mhm." Aurora nodded. „We can't visit him much so he often felt lonely but he said with you here he felt much better, happier even."

Suddenly I felt fuzzy and a stupid smile spread across my face.

„I just have to ask, I hope you don't mind." Pablo's sister gave me no time to react before she spoke again.

„Are you and my brother like a thing?" She looked back at Pablo's shirt I was wearing.

„Oh no! ehm, we're just good friends!" I stammered, my face red like a tomato, trying to ignore the images from yesterday popping up in my head.

„I'm wearing his shirt because mine are all in the wash." I tried to explain but I could tell Aurora did not believe one word I've said.

„Sure." She replied quietly and took a sip from her water.

„You know, Pablo is also bad at lying." I was about to ask her what she meant by that, but our heads turned to the entrance after we heard the keys jingle. Pablo slumped inside, his brows furrowed when he saw his sister.

„You're already here?" He asked as he hugged her, happy to see the familiar face.

„I mixed up the times but had good company." Aurora spoke and nudged my shoulder softly.

Us three kept talking for a bit but I felt a bit out of place, Aurora for sure had her reasons to come and I felt like I was interrupting their quality time.

„It was nice talking to you Aurora but I should go and do my exercises, I keep feeling my ankle a bit." I exused myself and walked over to the gym.

„It was nice to meet you! Hopefully we'll see each other again."

Gavi's POV

As soon as Lucia disappeared around the corner, my sister's head shot around, facing me again.

„She's so sweet." Aurora said just above a whisper to which I smiled. It made me happy to see them get along so well.

„I totally get it now. And please don't tell me again nothing is going on." She wouldn't even let me explain myself, but I guess I didn't have to, she would see right through my lie.

„How did you know?" I asked, genuinely interested if it was so obvious like anyone said.

„Remember when we went out to dinner with Mama and Papa not too long ago?"

There had been an evening, where my family had been in Barcelona for the day so we met up for dinner. My family knew about Lucia, I had to tell them eventually as she was already living with me. They were surprised at first when I told them and to be honest it did sound a bit suspicious, but I assured them nothing more was going on.

If she was my girlfriend I would've told them, it's nothing to be ashamed about, especially not if my girlfriend was Lucia.

„You speak very highly of Lucia, she seems like a sweet girl." My mother said between bites.

It got me thinking about her again.

„She is. She's very similar to me, you know, has the same ambitions, same way of thinking." I poked around my plate.

„She's the same age?" My father asked this time.

I nodded, a small smile spread across my face.

I told them about her a bit more, then used the time to text her when both of my parents went to the bathroom.

Apparently Aurora watched me closely, catching me smile at a new message, or seeing the pink shade on my cheeks when I told my parents about her.

„I really do like her and I will ask her out sooner or later, but I wanted to plan something. Could you help me with that?"

Aurora only smiled mischievous, nodding her head with a wide grin.
