Living in the mist

The word comes from the Ancient Greek word "Daiomai"
Which means "to share the same fate"
Demons originally existed among humans
And protected them as their guardians

Han was panting as he was running as fast as he can
"My life feels as if it's shrouded in mist"
Han continued running and looking behind him to see if someone was still following him han then stopped running and didn't know which way to go han then heard footsteps he turned around to see a tall man he only saw his shadow the place he was in had no light
"Who is a friend and who is a foe.... Or is everyone around me a foe? I can't tell" han was still standing looking and the tall guy walking towards him. "Is the one approaching me through the mist a devil or an angel? Have they come to save me or to destroy me?" Han walked towards the tall guy slowly then he ran towards him "the truth is so fragile that even the faintest mist can hide it."

Chapter 1
Living in the mist

200 years ago, Jaseon
"Let us pray almighty god, please guide us to always remember your will and empower us to apply it through our words and actions it is said that evil spirits seek to deceive your followers" a dark shadow came behind the people who were in the floor praying
"By quoting the Bible, your holy word" Minho then came from behind and walked towards a a pot and put his hand on it
And made a blood mark on it the paper next to the pot was written on it "may this holy water cleanse me of my sins and protect me from evil spirits. Amen" Minho then pulled out of the pot a blood colored flower the pot before Minho touched it was just holy water now it's blood
"Evil spirits seek to separate us from god and steal his power and glory to resist their temptation" everyone who was praying were closing their eyes "we must" then the guy stopped talking and opened his eyes to see a tall man wearing all black and coving his face with a hood everyone there turned around to see what was happening then all the candles there were off the place was dark everyone got terrified and were shaking the guy there tried to light up a candle and Minho was just smelling the flower then all the people looked at the wall because Minho wrote something on it "what what is happening what is this" the people were saying in a scared tone of voice Minho wrote on the wall with blood "THATS BLOOD" someone screamed and anther woman screamed "ITS THE DEVIL" while pointing at Minho who was just standing there not moving everyone then ran Minho started walking everyone was walking past him while he was smirking and pointing out his flower and on his hand was a Christian sign Minho then walked to the front and putted his flower on the Bible and removed his hood off then there was this one little girl who was hiding she then got a wooden stick and threw it on his face Minhos face made a little scratch that bleeded Minho then froze and gently moved his hand to see the mark then he looked back at his hand he found blood then he bent down to get the stick the girl threw the girl stood there biting her lips her dad came running and said "My dear." As he hugged her Minho then faced them and started walking towards them the father hugged his daughter in fear "s-stay away. Stay away" Minho was now in front of them he then bent down to talk to the girl he was pointing at her face with the Christian sign she threw in his face he then gave it to her and she was about to take it but Minho held his hand back then smirked and gave it to her the girl wasnt scared unlike her dad Minho then stood up and walked past the girl and the father as Minho was walking the scar healed it was as if he didn't get hurt Minho then snapped his hands then fire came all over him and disappeared.

Minho got out of his tent both hand behind his back and then faced his tent and said "I'm incredible as usual.Catholics believe that humans have three kinds of enemies" Minho then turned away and started walking "The first is their own bodies which undermine them from within with traits such as laziness. The second is their worldly lives,which eat away at them from the outside. Their third and final enemy is evil spirits." Minho thought to himself while walking near the sea shore and meeting a guy who has his hair bun hairstyle and a beard catching fishes the guy faced Minho and squinted his eyes because of the Sun "You look like you have been starving for days." "Who isn't these days?" "Is your wish to be free from hunger?" "I do not know who you are,but not even his majesty can solve-" Minho cut him off by saying  "The sea is full of fish, look how they shine in the water." Minho snapped and then a lot of fishes started jumping in the water "AH...what the...I know. You must be a... GOBLIN I know. You must be a goblin"
"How dare you compare me to such an ugly and lowly spirit?"
"Then the dragon king?"
"I'm not an old man like him" Minho said with a cold and annoyed face expression
"The nine tailed fox?" The guy said with wide eyes
"They shed fur everywhere and smell like dogs."
"Then what are you?"
"I am a demon from the underworld."
"Wha"
"You human call me an evil spirit." The guy was staring at Minho with confusion
"Am I so hungry that I'm seeing things?" The guy asked himself then faced the ocean and said  "goodness I must be dying soon!" While screaming and bent down a little bit stopped when he saw a big fat fish jumping towards him "oh oh" the fish then jumped on him and the guy fell with the fish in his hands
"Were you serious." The guy said as the fish kept moving in his hands "MY GOODNESS" the guy said and Minho started laughing the guy was so happy that he started jumping and looking at Minho then Minho made a paper appear in one of his hand
"It's not for free though.You need to make a deal with me."
"A deal?"
"The deal will last for 10 years and you will never get hungry in that period since that's your wish"
"What happenes afterwards?"
"Your body will die, and ur soul will end up where I came from"
"What kind of place is that?"
"You humans seem to call it hell"
"HELL?" The guy screamed with a confusing face and looked at Minho, Minhos face expression was emotionless
"My mouth waters just by looking at my own flesh. Hell can't be worse than here. Give it here."
"You're a lot braver than you look." Minho said while giving the paper to the guy "what? How do I look?"
