The ending you had probably wished for

This is a re-imagined 'the devil's a part timer' ending where Emi and Maou ends up together instead of Maou and Chiho because, I think most of those who know the ending thinks that it's pretty bad and for me it ruined everything, cause as far as I know we did not had a lot of scenes with Maou and Emi together just for them not to end up together and blatantly saying that they don't harbor any romantic feeling for each other, yeah right. But before I get way too carried away, let's move on with the story.

Happened at the last book LN v21

Also happened when after Emi saves Maou

"So i ...uh...heard that you helped me earlier...by .."

"Don't mention it, if your going to say thank you, do it now , your welcome"

" Yeah... Right, Thank you Emi. Also I was gonna talk about something with you."

"Is it important that you decided to talk about in mid night?"

"Look I busy earlier after I came back, it isn't my fault they cared about me that much "

"Yeah, Yeah, whatever, what are we going to talk about anyway? You going to confess or tell me that you were awake when I saved you?"

"Actually yeah "

"Wait... Your actually going to- no YOU WERE AWAKE!? YOU WERE JUST WANT TO KISS ME WEREN'T YOU!!??,YOU!!, sometimes I forget that your a demon"

*She summons her holy sword*

"NO NO NO IM NOT, THAT WASN'T MY INTENSION IT WAS SOMETHING ELSE, I PROMISE!! Let me explain!"

"Do it now before I take your head off your neck!"

"Ok so I was awake the whole time, because I wanted to know what you felt about me , you've been acting weird when you're together with me so I wanted to know. I want to know what you really feel no lies no fakes just you and your feelings, and don't think about lying to me , I've casted a truth spell since I got here."

"Tsk... You cheeky bastard!"

"It's just me and you, now tell me Emi- no Emilia tell me how do you feel?"

"Aghh!! I'll kill you after this!  Fine I liked you since we got to this world, when you gave me that umbrella at that night, but I suppressed those feelings for you because you're still the demon king and I am the hero that has a mission to kill you and give peace to Ente Isla and make it free of the demons that have been terrorizing it, but every time we talked to each other, every time we're together, every time I looked at you that feeling that I've been suppressing grew and grew more when we had to pretend that we are a family when alas ramus appeared, and those feelings that slip out are those that you see when we're together, when I couldn't hold those feelings to myself anymore, I hate myself for loving you , knowing that you already love someone that also loves you..."

Then after saying what she have been hiding for a long time she shed a tear, with her eyes straight at him, and him not being able to look at her directly because he's not sure if he can return her feelings, and he can only feel sad for her, then she broke the silence.

"Is that the answer you want to hear from me you demon!? Are you happy now that you know!?"

She said while crying

" No, this was more than I wanted to hear I too harbor some feelings for you but not like yours, so I'm not sure, yes I love you too and it's just like the what you said it "
