Harry's POV

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. I should have known that it was a stupid prank. Of course Niall would be getting back at me for gluing his hand to the bag of chips. But honestly, that went a little too far. I dragged my fingers through my curls and tried to stop myself from tearing my hair out. I could feel tears threatening to spill but gods, I don't want to cry. I don't want to admit what that did to me. I truly thought that it was Arianna lying face down. Cold. Dead. A sob broke through my lips and I slammed my fist against the wall.

Stephanie's POV

I hobbled up the stair and towards Harry's room. The door was shut and I could hear Augustana's Last Mistake playing. I knocked but after waiting a minute I decided to let myself through.I peeked my head in to see him lying on his bed. He'd taken his shirt off and his arm was resting over his eyes. I let my eyes roam over his inked chest before snapping my eyes up to his. He was gazing at me, not speaking. I opened my mouth to say something, anything but my phone rang through my pocket. Harry's head snapped up at the ringing and he stared at me, his mouth parted open. I shrugged my shoulders and mouthed sorry to him.

"Hello," I said, walking out of Harry's room.

"Stephanie, we need to talk," my mom's voice filtered through the phone. I almost dropped my phone in shock. Oh why, oh why didn't I check the caller id?

"Hi Mom!" I answered her brightly.

"Stephanie, you can't run forever," she said, sighing. I could hear the frown in her voice.

"Why not mom? Why can't I just forget?" I whispered. I bit my lip, to try and stop myself from crying out. A tidal wave of despair washed over me. All the memories I'd been trying to suppress were making their way to the front of my mind.

"Because it's your past, love. And one day you are going to have to face it," she answered back.

"Not today though. Bye Mom," I hung up on her and clamped a hand of my mouth. Don't cry, please don't cry.

"Stephanie?" I whipped around to see Harry standing in his doorway, hair askew.

"Harry! Sorry, I'd come up here to apologize. We went a but far with the prank," I said.

"Forget about that," he said shaking his head," what's up with you? What are you trying to forget?"

I blinked. I did not see that coming.

"Nothing important,"

I answered weakly.

"Ar-" he faltered for a second but continued, "Arianna told me that you were here trying to forget about something that had to do with your dad. So don't lie."

"What else did she tell you?"

"Nothing else. She mostly just cursed your dad out," he said chuckling.

I laughed a bit at that. Typical Ari.

"So tell me, what's wrong?"

Niall's POV

"What's taking her so long?" I asked for the tenth time that night.

"They're probably just talking. Relax, Niall," Arianna answered me. I groaned and banged my head on the kitchen table. I'd finished my tacos a while ago and the rest were getting cold. If those two didn't hurry up, I swear I'll eat those to. My self control was already slipping.

I glanced at Arianna who was engrossed in her salad because apparently she didn't like tacos. Who doesn't like tacos? That's going to he a major flaw in my plan to get her with Harry. Styles loves tacos.
