𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘃𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘁 was walking through the rainy night of chicago looking for shelter ; because his girlfriend mariah kicked him out of their shared apartment for apparently "cheating" on her .
he thought that she was crazy and that she needed help mentally . mariah would continuously go out and party while dayvon would go to work to pay there once shared apartment bills .
it was crazy to him that she would accuse him of cheating then go out almost every night , and when she was home she would always find something to argue about .
it could be about the stupidest things , like " dayvon why the hell would you take the car to go to work , and i literally said that i was going out tonight!" . von wanted to laugh in her face and say " well if you wasn't so fuckin lazy and get a job , then i would have to worry less about the bills" , but him being the gentleman he is he walked to work that night.
dayvon shook his head after realizing he was drowning in his thoughts. dayvon only had one more person to rely on in this moment , and it was his grandma. he knows he'll be walking for a another 30 minutes but it'll all be worth it.
von really wants somebody to help him through everything and find real love. a genuine love that you see in movies . he knows that he deserves more than mariah , but mariah always tells him that he's not good enough to be with anyone else, so she's doing him a favor by being with him.
part of him thinks it's true , but another part of him thinks its not , mainly because of his grandmother telling him that it's not .
he was about 20 minutes away from his grandmothers house until he heres a car horn. he looks toward the black jeep , and he saw a lightskin girl roll down the window and say , "do you need a ride by any chance?" .
