Chapter 2

The next day y/n awoke at 7:26am. She rolled over to her side and opened her phone and checked up on her friends. She scrolled through her socials and seen how they all went on some fun vacation trips while she was still here in her apartment working with some smoke addict detective. She finally decided to get up and get ready for her actual first full day at work.

She still felt a little groggy and walked towards the bathroom and splashed cold water on her face to wake her up. As the cold water hit her skin her whole body jolted from the sudden cold contact on her face she felt more alert and awake than before. She grabbed her her clothes and quickly put them on and brushed out her (h/l) (h/c). Once she looked decent for the day she rushed out the door and looked her apartment door. She checked the time and saw it was already 8am.

"Shoot I'll have to grab something on the way" y/n said as she realized that she forgot to eat breakfast and knew exactly how it would play out if she didn't eat anything. She got on the bus and got off and headed to a nearby coffee place. 

(Time skip- because why not)

Y/n POV:

As I arrived to the building I quickly checked the time and saw that I was exactly on time. I quickly rushed inside with the two drinks in my hand and knocked on the open office door. 

"Ahh... so you came back" Luigi said while yet again staring out the window and into his own little world in his mind smoking a cigarette.

"Well yeah why wouldn't I?" I asked stepping into the office taking off my coat and hanging it up

"Well considering how you acted yesterday I just assumed that you wouldn't bother coming in today...or any day for that matter" he said taking his gaze away from the window and looking directly at me.

"Well just because you had me sorting through files all evening yesterday doesn't mean I would back out of the job. I know exactly what I signed up for. And besides I brought coffee"

He looked at my hand with the two cups and pointed to his desk. I walk over and put the coffee there taking a sip of mine feeling the hot liquid run down my throat. 

"So-"

"I looked through your file yesterday dont worry I didn't find anything. Although you seem to be all over the place with your classes..."

"Oh uh by what do you mean?..."

"I mean you still have no idea what you plan on doing with your life do you?" He asked looking directly into my eyes

"Well uh- yeah but I kinda do have sort of a plan"

"And that is?"

"Well yeah I do want to be a detective and work for the law but I also want to pursue in acting or even produce my own films"

"Hm just as i thought your one of those indecisive people" he said walking away from the window and over to his desk where I stood on the other side. He picked up his coffee I brought him and watched as he took a sip.

"Yeah what about it?" I questioned "is it a bad thing?"

"It could be. If you take to long to make a decision indicating life or death and you can't decide quickly then it could be to late before you even decide."

I thought about what he said and nodded 

"I see... well then I'll work on that but I still plan on pursuing those careers or at least do one and the others can just be hobbies. You know life's to short to be tied down in just one place"

"That is true but also being tied down in one place can also have its perks ya know"

Before I could even ask what he meant by that we heard a knock at the door. I looked over to see......

(Yes I'm leaving this off as a cliff hanger because I can. It was my sisters birthday today and it was also Mario day aswell it was like celebrating both. Although I don't really interact with her a lot. But still i did have a big dinner and cake so I can't complain.)
