The Sapphire of Castina (An abandoned Empress fanfiction)

Prologue pt. 1 - Jealousy of the Queen

It was the 21st of May, year 243rd of the Castina calendar and a silver haired beauty placed her hand within the palm of a blue haired Emperor.

The glowing couple smiled at each other, years of pent up discomfort, emotional distance and concealed love melted away as they stared into each others eyes, tears welling up as the moment they have both waited for finally arrived.

Gentle hands picked up a large crown, glittering with jewels.

The Emperor spoke lovingly as he placed the crown upon his wife's head.

"Aristia Pioneer la Monique, my partner in oath and my one and only love..."

"I now name you the noblest of all ladies in the Empire, the first lady of the Empire..."

"The Empress, the most brilliant and loved lady in the Empire."

"And I bestow you the glorious name of Castina."

With that final sentence uttered, the crowd erupted into cheers, nobles and commoners alike cheering for the shining couple.

All for except one person.

A raven haired beauty sat within the churches pews, a barely concealed scowl present on her face, her teeth stained with purple lipstick as she bit her lip.

'It was so unfair.'

She suffered so much within her past life, being taken away from the only life she ever knew to a strange and scary new world.

She had naively thought that since the goddess had bestowed upon her her blessing, that she would walk a path filled with roses and shining with gold flakes to a happy life.

Little did she know that those red roses were stained with the blood of those who stepped upon their thorn filled path.

It surely seemed like she would have a happy ending with the most powerful man in the Empire holding so much affection for her, to the point that he killed his fated wife for daring to harm her.

But that bastard turned crazy without that woman.

It was obvious who he loved the most.

She had hoped that in this life he would at least look her way once...

But he never did.

Now that silver haired witch stole everything that was rightfully hers.

The ravenettes eyes darkened as she saw the newly appointed Empress make her way to the edge of the stage to address her country.
