It had been haunting him

What exactly, he couldn't tell

But he could feel it. It felt wrong, like it didn't belong in him, it wasn't a part of him. Waking in a cold sweat, the pounding in his head. Something was coming

Something bad

However, bad things weren't foreign to the infamous Harry Potter. In fact, it was all he ever knew, which may be why he didn't feel too bothered by the swirling feeling lurking in the pits of his empty stomach

The golden boy, they called him. The chosen one, they called him.

'chosen my ass, if I could choose, I'd give up everything to get out of this hellish life'

Harry internally groaned, cracking his neck as he walked down the moving staircase. He was tired of it. Everywhere he went, trouble followed; like a moth to a flame. Why him? Why not someone else? Those questions were all he would ever ask. Why couldn't he be normal?

It had been over a month since third year started, yet he couldn't catch a break. It gave him a headache, the whispers of people when he entered the room, how they acted differently around him, some too good, some bad. It was like his entire existence was paining him, swallowing the helpless, tired boy whole

Harry walked down the dirt path, down to a small hut near the evergreen forest of Hogwarts. His eyes widened ever so slightly at the sight of the creature lying asleep on hay blades beside the stone wall

"Buckbeak.." Harry muttered as his eyes trailed over the creature, distinctly remembering how Draco claimed to execute him during their first Care of Magical Creatures class

He and his friends were put into a panic and tried to stop the blonde; but surprisingly, Draco already had a strange change of heart

"Huh? That vile monster?" Draco scoffed, scrunching his nose as he turned his head to the side, "Tch, it should consider itself grateful for my kindness. I've simply decided it wasn't worth my time," he said nonchalantly, turning back to his friends who were snickering behind him

While Harry was still weirded out by that, because what the hell, he was glad for whatever changed the Slytherin's mind as it was one of the only good things that happened to him all year. Walking closer to the door, the brunette stopped once he heard faint chatter within the cozy(?) hut

'...I didn't know Hagrid was schizophrenic'

Harry shook away the thought, knocking on the door. Hagrid did seem like quite the lonely man, now that he thought about it. Aside from him, Hermione, and Ron, he had never seen any students talk to Hagrid outside of class. Not that he wanted Hagrid to take the L, the giant had done lots for him, more than he could ever ask. But it brought a small smile to his face, knowing that though under different circumstances- they both shared the same loneliness

Shifting was heard as the door opened, revealing the giant man whose eyes crinkled into a smile, like he was having a good laugh. "Aye, Harry! What'cha doin' here, eh?" Hagrid chuckled, looking down at the shorter male. Harry shifted his eyes awkwardly, "Uh, just wanted to stop by," he said, until a sweet fragrance reached his nose. Hagrid? Sweet? In what world?

"Oh, er- hope ya don't mind then. I've already gotta' visitor, but the more the merrier', I say! Come in'!" Hagrid expressed, stepping aside to let Harry in. The brunette furrowed his brows, Hagrid already had a visitor? He felt guilty for his previous thoughts, realizing that even Hagrid had someone to laugh along with. Perhaps he really was out of place
