"Ke eng Minnie, bua hle" Ona urges as I anxiously look around the room. "Ona... I'm pregnant" I breathe out. "Wena, pregnant?" She starts laughing but stops when I stare at her seriously.

"Minentle!" She exclaims and I wince in response. "Is-Is it Samkelo's?" I nod. "Do you know how much danger you've put yourself in? If those people find out that you're pregnant with their child, they'll strip you of everything you have"

"They will kill you Minnie, I don't want to loose you, okay? I'll make an appointment with the clinic, we'll go there first thing tommorow-" I cut her off. "Wait... I can't just go to an abortion clinic and get rid of the babies, I don't want to die Ona" I whisper shout.

"Two babies?" She starts panicking. "Three babies" I correct her. "Yoh hhayi, Minentle! How do you expect us to be able to hide three babies?" She asks, frightened. "I don't know but I'm not getting rid of them"

"Then what do you suggest we do? Tell them about your pregnancy?" She sarcastically laughs. "No, we won't tell them. We won't tell anyone" I clarify. "Have you gone crazy? Minnie- Samkelo's going to kill you when he finds out, then he'll take those kids from you" She states.

I silently sit down on the couch. "How are we even going to keep this pregnancy hidden?" She paces around the room, scared. She's scared? I'm the one pregnant and she's scared.

"Wabona? This is what happens when you have unprotected sex and tell that fool to go get your pills." She groans. "Ona..." I trail off. "We have to tell Samkelo about this, there's no other way"

"No." I quickly say. "Then what do you suggest Minnie? Huh? We can't keep this hidden for nine months" She frowns. "I don't know" I break down into sobs, she sighs, hugging me. "We'll figure a way around this"

"I just got off the phone with Rea... Samkelo left for Johannesburg, last night" I inform her. "That's good right?" She raises an eyebrow at me. "Yeah" I lowly mutter. "Are you hungry?" I shake my head no in response.

"Come on, you need to eat something for the sake of the babies" She sighs. "Are you still in contact with Sbonelo?" I change the topic. "No, I had to stop after you found out about them threatening my life. Now let me go and get you something to eat" She walks into the kitchen and returns a moment later.

"I ordered Pizza a few hours ago." She places the box ontop of the coffe table and takes a seat near me, switching on the TV. "I'm scared Ona" I say out of the blue. "I'm also scared" She mumbles, hugging me. I hug her back.

"Okay, let's stop thinking about that whats if's and what not's. We need to start going baby shopping, organising your baby shower and gender reveal party" She squeals and I laugh.

"Slow down, I'm not even sure if I'm keeping these babies" I stop her. "Didn't you say that abortion was not an option?" She frowns. "It wasn't but... Three babies is a lot Ona"

"I understand, but I'll be with you throughout the way" I tightly hug her. "What would I be without you?" I laugh. "Absolutely nothing" She truthfully answers.

"Anyways, I'm going to bed. Call me when you need anything, wa nkoa?" I nod in response and head down to my room. I shower and get into bed, pulling the covers over myself.

My hand indistinctively finds it's way onto my belly, rubbing the barley noticeable pudge on my abdomen. Just thirty three more weeks to go, I think to myself and let sleep take over my conscience.

"Baby mama!" Ona calls out as she enters my room. "Mhm?" I turn on my side. "Tsoga, you have classes today mos" She makes herself comfortable on my bed. "What time is it?" I look down at my phone.

I decide to get ready and put on comfy clothes before grabbing my tote bag and heading out of the apartment complex and across the street. I get to campus, and head down to my lecture.

*

I walk back into the apartment, peacefully eating my muffin and my phone rings, cutting my journey short.

Rea:
Can we meet up today?

Me:
Yeah sure, how does 4pm sound?

Rea:
It's perfect.

I unlock the door and step into the apartment. "Mosadi!" I call out but get no reply, I walk into the kitchen and find a note on the fridge.

'Don't stress out, I went grocery shopping"

-Ona

I

slightly calm down and walk towards my room, kicking off my shoes and starting off wih my assignment. I suddenly fall hungry and head into the kitchen and start cooking.

"I'm backkkk" Ona sings as she walks in, holding a few bags in hand. "I just got of the phone with Mmangwane and she says that she's been experiencing wierd dreams. She asked if one of us is pregnant" She informs me.

"What did you tell her?" I frown. "I shrugged it off and hung up. It's not my secret to tell" She adds. "I won't be telling her anytime soon, you know how her and her husband are" I state.

"True, but they're your parents, they deserve to know Minnie." She tries to reason with me. "Ha-eh, they deserve to know nothing. I'll tell them when I'm ready, I'm still processing"

"I mean... Keeping this a secret is going to be hard, especially when you know that there's a possibility that Samkelo's watching you" She reminds me.

"I don't think so, Rea told me that he stopped following me around and having men watch me. He listened and decided to back off" She laughs in response. "Just like that? You're joking right?"

"No cause that man is head over heels for you, what do you mean he stopped? I refuse to believe that. That Rea girl may be fooling you, it runs in the family after all" She shrugs.

"I don't think so, Rea seems genuine"
