Chapter 1 - Someone please ban parents from social media!

After an extremely long ride and way too many Maroon 5 songs later (pfft, who am I kidding? There is no such thing as too much Maroon 5.), we pull into the road which leads us to Terminal 2, a terminal of the Chhatrapati  Shivaji International Airport. I watch in awe as we pass through the vast and smooth road leading to the Arrival area.

Before leaving home, Samar had tracked the air plane on one of those tracking apps. Their flight is thankfully, on time. So the guests must be in immigration right now. Samar pulls the car near the entrance and I get down of the car while he goes to park it. I stand there idly, looking at the people around me. The arrival area is kind of crowded. I can see some portions of T2, it's such a great airport. Lights illuminate from the flower styled chandeliers, some are full bloomed, while some are midway open whilst a few are buds. These gorgeous chandeliers are spread throughout the entire terminal. Last year, when were travelling to Hong Kong, I couldn't stop gawking at the breath-taking ceiling. Honestly, the whole airport is amazing. It's just like a foreign airport. The first time I came here, I didn't feel I was in India. The modernity of the whole building was quite a surprise to me.

There are lot of people waiting for their loved ones, and couple of men standing with those boards written with names on them. But my attention focuses on a foreigner family, who come out of the sliding doors with their luggage trolleys. They look like tourists. There are four of them, a husband, wife (Could be partners too )and two adorable little girls. All of them have blond hair and green eyes. And I'm instantly jealous, because let's be honest, green eyes are the 'bomb'. They're so beautiful! I've always wanted light coloured eyes but instead I have boring plain dark ones.

I break from my train of jealous thoughts when Samar taps me on the shoulder. I immediately focus my attention on him.

"Whatcha thinking about?" He asks while putting his cell phone in his pocket. He is tapping his foot, waiting for an answer.

"Whatcha is not a word." I correct him "I'm thinking about how crazy our life in going to be from now on." I murmur. It is true! It's going to be a whirlwind for the next few weeks.

"Okay, grammar freak shut up and stop making a big deal out of it. You're not going to fight in a war. Chill!" Samar says to me as I roll my eyes. That grammar freak comment is true. I have an annoying habit of correcting people. My habit has bought upon me merciless teasing from pretty much everyone. I'm just like Ted Mosby.

I don't want to respond to that accusation so I shut my mouth and don't pay attention to him. I fish out my phone and tap on the orange icon of wattpad. I randomly scroll through some notifications when I get a call from dad. I pick it up and hold the phone near my ear.

"Where are you two? We've reached." I started looking around the throngs of people, trying to spot mom and dad.

Before I could reply, he abruptly says "I see you guys now." He just hung up on me without even a 'bye'. That is my father for you. Pleasantries on cell phone are not required according to him. All phone calls with him are blunt and abrupt. My mom always complains how he has no manners on how to talk on the phone. Dad always defends himself by saying he gets almost 200 calls a day and he cannot talk so long with everyone.

I see my parents walking towards us; my dad is speaking on the phone with someone. Seeing that huge smile on his face, I assume it's some good news. My mother on the other hand, is concentrating on the screen of her mobile phone.

"They will be out in around 15 minutes." Dad says excitedly as he stands beside me. He's grinning like a Cheshire cat. He's super pumped about the 'guests' coming to India. He's been constantly talking about this and the wedding for the past month.
