... I bet you are waiting for something amazing, Something to really draw you in. Well, here...

Let's go back a few years. I'm 10 years old again. That's when it really began, when my life started to change. I was in fifth grade, about to go into middle school. I probably seemed like a normal, happy little girl with a normal, happy family. Yeah well, that wasn't it at all. I wasn't normal and I definitely was not happy. But I didn't want people to see that side of me, my parents, or really anyone in my family. So, I'd put on that fake smile of mine, and act like any other normal, happy 10 year old.

When I say I'm not "normal", I mean, I'm not normal. Normal kids have normal parents, a normal house, normal classes, and probably, normal friends. Which I had none of. I was just extremely short, even for a 10 year old, I had fire red hair, too many freckles for my small face, and bright green eyes. I mean, what normal kid looks like that.

I was in the special ed classes (which also gave me a real disadvantage on the whole "friend" thing). I wasn't in those classes because I was like, retarted or whatever the other kids would say, but because I never really interacted with other kids, not like I knew how to or anything. And people always thought I was... different. So, my parents just assumed I needed extra help, help I really did not need. I mean, I was much smarter than the other kids in my classes. The teachers even had a rule that I "couldn't answer questions" until the other kids had a chance to try and solve it. So I never really understood why I stayed in the special classes. Most kids who got smarter and started learned things like other smarter kids after being in special classes, slowly went into normal classes. Why I never did, I still don't know.

But I soon understood why I wasn't considered a normal 10 year old girl...
