I hand't done much these days. Just sitting on my comfortable chair, have a cup of warm tea while looking at the little ducklings swimming on the pond until the sun set. Then I would go inside, comb my hair and went to my bed. And the next morning when the sun shines beautifully, I would water the roses, pick some fresh vegetables, make my usual sup that I've been making for so many years now it doesn't taste anything except the taste from the sweet corn, look up the mails, and then sit on my comfortable chair and wake up to my cats; Miss Amy and Mr Kat, crawling asking for food. But, today is a different day. I have an appoinment with Dr Andy to have my usual medical check up. So, instead of being used to be a lazy woman, I dress my self up, pick up the best wardrobe I have inside my closet, well, maybe with a light touch of lipstick, and then leave some foods for Miss Amy and Mr Kat - so they wouldn't get hungy - lock the door and headed straight to Dr Andy's.
"Good Morning Mrs Whill" "Oh, Good Morning Andrew. You're early today" "Yes, yes I am Mrs Whill. My Dad aksed me to sleep earlier so I could wake up earlier, too. He also asked me to fix his motorcycle so you can ride it comfortably" "Your Dad is such a nice man" "Are you ready Mrs Whill?" "Well yes of course, let's go then. I don't want Dr Andy to wait for me, he's a young busy doctor"
I sit on back seat of the motorcycle and Andrew drove me off. It was still 6 AM and the village road is still quite. I saw some people picking up tea leaves from the tea garden and some were picking up fresh flowers; I could smell the fragrance of roses, jasmine, and lily. Little birds seemed happy too. They sang melodies together with cheerful tones. The morning breeze touch the skin of my face like feather. I closed my eyes and breathe in the fresh air. It was so refreshing. This world is beautiful, I said to myself. It really is.
Suddenly, the breeze gone. "We're here, Mrs Whill" "O, we're arrive already? I thought it was a longer journey. And, thankyou Andrew for taking me here" "You're very welcome Mrs Whill. Should I wait for you?" "That will not be necessary" "Okay then. If you need my help, just call my home using the public's telephone. I'm going Mrs Whill, have a good day!" "Have a good day, too!" What a good boy he is, I said to myself again.
I turned around and walked towards the Sunshine Clinic. This clinic is the only clinic in this little village and everyone is relying every health matters here and to the only doctor here, Dr Andy. He is such a kind-hearted doctor who is willing to spend his time on the villagers. He loves everyone and everyone loves him too. The villagers are so thankful Dr Andy came here because without him, the villagers and I wouldn't know what to do if anything happens to us. I opened the door and this bell hanging on the top of the door rang.. KLING.. "Good Morning, Mrs Whill", greeted Dr Andy. "Good Morning, Doctor. I'm ready. What are you going to check?" "Hmm.. I am basically going to check all parts of your body. Your last test was good and let's see if it still is" "Sure, Doc". Dr Andy then check my eyes, nose, ears, tongue, heart rate, blood pressure, and finally took some of my blood. "Okay... now I'm going to check these on the Lab. While waiting, you can sit and have some reading, okay?" "Thankyou doctor" "You're very welcome" He smiled and walked to his lab.
Like Dr Andy said, I sat on the white long bench Dr Andy had especially bought for his patients and pick up today's newspaper. There weren't any interesting topics on the newspaper so I decided to put it back on the table infront of me and walked outside. The sun is getting higher and the village street is busier now. I saw a bunch of kids walking to school, some pick-up trucks going out from the village sending off the fresh picked flowers to town. Some motorcycles carrying vegetables like corn, spinach, and cabbage. And an unusual thing for me was when I saw 20 tourists each carrying their own camera taking pictures of the village. It's really weird that I've never able to remember the village I've been staying for almost 10 years. The reason is, this village got a really hard name to remember. I think it's Rookahoma or Makoohuma, I don't now.
