Misaki's Pov

'So, this is the Forest of death....' I thought as I stared at the woods in front of me, it had a steel gate barred around it that was around 15 feet tall. I deduced it was to keep outsiders out instead of inside. It was a little warm outside, but not unbearable though I wish this lady would hurry it up. 'Some of these people are about to smell if they don't get out of the sun...' I shivered just thinking about it, gaining attention from Sasuke as he brushed his hand against my own. I glanced at him as I noticed his brow was raised but I shrugged him off.

"This whole place just completely creeps me out..." Sakura had uttered, I glanced at her before returning my gaze to the front. The instructor, Anko then replied with we will see why it's called that later on. I could only roll my eyes as I thought it was some lame ass joke. Naruto then huffed, placing his hands on his hips as he shook them. "They call it the Forest of Death~ And soon enough you're going to find out why!" I wanted to crawl in a hole and die from the embarrassment, I shook my head and closed my eyes. Naruto then declared he wasn't scared, and that type of threat was not going to work on him.

"Really? You have a lot of energy..." She smiled and tilted her head as a kunai slide down her sleeve and threw it passed Naruto's head. The kunai went a little further and cut off a small piece of a woman's long black hair. Anko then appeared behind Naruto, trying to get into his head and scare him. 'Can we hurry this up...this is really lame...' I guess I spaced out for a little too long because Anko had pulled out another kunai because the long back haired woman was behind her and had extended her long snake like tongue that has holding onto a kunai. 'Okay that's gross.... that woman maybe a small problem for us if it's in combat. She might have some snake abilities...' Anko tensed, "Okay but don't stand behind me thirsty for blood.... if you don't want a quick death." She said before taking the kunai. "Well...it's my nature to act up at the sight of red blood...and my hair was cut so I couldn't help but get excited " The woman replied, her head was down slightly as her hat covered her from the sun. 'Okay I take it back she might be a big problem. If getting she's excited over a little bit of a hair trim, I wonder what she would be like in battle......I'm definitely going to have to take the lead in planning our attacks.' The woman apologized and turned around making brief eye contact with me causing me to get the chills before returning to her spot.

'That woman...that's not a normal gennin..' I thought as Sasuke glared at the woman and Sakura looked bewildered, Naruto mirroring Sakura's face. It didn't take much longer after that for the proctor to hold up some papers. "Before we start, I have to pass out some consent forms" Naruto asked why and in response she said there will be corpses in this round of the test, or it will be her responsibility she then laughed as I merely rolled my eyes before digging into my bag to pull out a pen. She then began to explain the exam, I made sure to listen carefully for any weird wording. I was then passed a consent form as I took one and passed back the rest. She showed up a map of training field 44, she mentioned it was gated meaning we are going to be locked inside. "There are rivers and a forest, and a tower in the middle about 10 kilometers from the gate. You will have to survive a anything goes scroll battle." Anko said as she pulled out two scrolls. She continued to explain the details of the test, 'So we need to have both scrolls in order to pass. And then survive and make it to the tower in order to be promoted to the next test.' I glanced over at Sasuke and Sakura, and then turned my attention to the front and stared at the back of Naruto's head. As she went over the rest of the rules, I couldn't help but get the feeling that someone was watching me, I turned my head a little making sure not too much to make it noticeable as I saw in the corner of my eye that the woman from earlier was staring in my direction. I could feel a sinister aura radiating off of the woman, I lightly bit my lip as I turned my attention to the front.

After a while of back and forth between Anko and a few others about the test we were given some time to sign the consent forms. Sasuke had motioned for me to follow him; he led me to rock to sit against. As we sat next to each other I noticed he was watching our soon to be opponents in battle, I glanced down at the paper holding the pen in my hand as I was about to put it to the paper. But before I could, I felt a gentle yet firm grip on my wrist.
