Renea stood in her kitchen making coffee for Harry and her. These mornings meant so much to them, to wake up together and to talk about their plans for the day. They would inevitably scurry off to go pursue their passions so they savoured each moment together, as if it were their last.
This morning however felt a bit different. Renea couldn't sleep very much last night. She couldn't wrap her mind around how she could be so happy in her relationship and still think about her old flames. Harry was perfect in every way imaginable. He cared so deeply for her she could feel his love coursing through her veins every single day. She feel his love in the air she breathed in. She was the happiest she had ever been, for a while.
She knew he would wake up soon. He never did stay in bed long after she got out of bed. So, she started breakfast, if nothing else would, the smell of food could get him out of bed. Shortly into cooking, the coffee pot beeped. This was Renea's second favorite sound, right after Harry's morning voice. Renea grabbed two mugs out of the cabinet and sat them in front of the coffee pot. She got back to her turkey bacon on the stove, flipped it and grabbed the eggs out. She started humming enjoying herself, her mind's racing had slowed for the time being. She was tired but happy to be cooking for Harry and herself.
She saw a light switch on and scurried to pour coffee in the mugs. She grabbed the creamer out to pour into his mug and stirred it. Harry walked into the kitchen with a smile on his face. He walked up to Renea putting a hand on her waist and kissing her. She handed him his coffee mug as he pulled away. He smiled again, before taking a small sip.
"Good morning, sleepy head" Renea said, smiling, as she pulled the food off the stovetop. "You have good timing, Sir Sleeps a lot."
"Good morning, my love. Did you sleep well?" Harry asked lovingly, his voice low and raspy, rubbing the small of her back.
"Not really, unfortunately. What about you?" Renea said and looked to Harry with a soft smile on her face.
"I slept good until you got out of bed. " He said and winked. "I'm sorry you didn't well. Maybe we can go lay back down after breakfast. I'll hold you and fight off any bad dreams."
"Lets see how we feel after breakfast, Darling, but I do love the idea." Renea blushed a little bit. Even after being together for 10 years, he still gave her all the same feelings he did when they were teenagers.. He was only more patient, gentle, and kind. Renea transferred their food to plates and took it to the already made table. Harry noticed Renea's coffee mug was empty and poured her coffee and brought their mugs over to the table.
"Is there something on your mind, sweetheart?" Harry asked, as they sat down. "And thank you for breakfast, by the way."
"I do have a few things on my mind, actually. Just not sure how to talk about any of it." Renea said, and let out a small sigh.
"Well I'm here to listen whenever, if ever, you want to talk about it all." Harry said smiling at his partner and grabbing her hand and squeezing it, before he began to eat.
Renea took a sip of her coffee and began to try and eat. Her stomach churned but she just smiled through the discomfort. She knew she needed to eat, so she wouldn't worry Harry.
They finished up breakfast. Without making her feel bad, Harry ate the extra food, making up for Renea's lack of appetite. Harry quickly took care of the dishes as Renea finished her coffee. He then took her hand and walked her back to the bedroom. He kissed her hand before letting it go and said "Get comfy and we can lay down. I can hold you, and you can sleep, or you can talk about whatever you want, or we can just lay together in silence, Whatever you need baby girl, I wanna give it to you." He smiled, as he looked at his partner, the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. Renea started to cry and hugged Harry. She started to melt into him as she let it all out. He held her tightly, wishing he could help her.
"You're just so good to me. I love you so much, but I don't deserve you, at all. You're to good for me, Harry." Renea gushed out.
"Babe, I'm good because of you. You taught me everything I know about love and about life. We've grown up and learned so much together, I wouldn't change that for anything. Whatever you' re going through, no matter what it is, we will get through it, together." Harry said, starting to tear up a little bit, too. Renea only cried harder as she listened to him. She leaned more into him, unsure how to express herself.
"I just feel like the worst person ever, the worst wife, because.. lately, I keep thinking about Zayn and Damon and I wonder how they're doing, if they're happy and about if things turned out differently... I don't know why i think these things. I love you so much, more than anything, and you make me so happy. I believe our love will last for so many more decades to come."
"It's only natural to be curious, darling.." Harry said and began to trail off, he looked at his partner and then around the room. "Is there anything we can do to help your feelings? I'm not so sure how to approach this, so I need your help."
Renea sighed and asked "I don't know, can we check up on them?"
"You are more than welcome to check on them, meet with them, whatever you need" Harry smiled and said. "I'm yours and I know you are mine. I know, no matter what happens, I love you and you love me... Even if you wanted all of us, I would still be happy to be yours" He chuckled and kissed Renea on the forehead.
"I will love you forever and ever, Harry, my sweet darling, no matter what.." Renea said looking up at him, tears welled up in her eyes.
And they went to sleep wrapped up in each others arms and they slept for awhile, comfortable and in love. Harry wasn't sure what the future held for their relationship and neither did Renea but they knew one thing for sure. They loved each other deeply and they wanted to be together until the end of time.
