Two Truths and A Lie

Prologue

Kaden has always felt invisible. Well, not really invisible. But, in the middle of being loved, and not existing. More like on the brink of both. She's always felt like all her life was a lie. She knew she wasn't adopted but, something was different. She didn't know what. And as she grew, her fear of being invisible grew. Kaden is now 14. She's been through some tough things. Her parents are divorced. Her older brother and sister are both in college. Both drifting away from God, which is the only thing keeping Kaden alive. She lives with her mom and older brother. She loves her older brother Kalib. Like a best friend. Like a father. Like hes everything to her. But she also loves her sister Kaline who Iives with their father. Kaline is the sister who loves everyone equally. No matter how badly they treat her. Kaden is the worst sister kaline could've asked for. But they still love each other so much. Its impossible to explain. Being the youngest in the family, you would expect Kaden to be spoiled, loved too much. But that's not true. Kaden is the one in the family that's often misunderstood for anything she does. Of course shes lazy and crazy and when she needs to be, hyperactive. I mean, which 14 year old freshman isn't? She's boy crazy! She has so many crushes its hard for even her to count. But there's one boy in her life that she loves. She loves him so much. Through his flaws. Even she doesn't understand her feelings for him. Kaden has known Alex for a while. 7 years to be exact. They were the closest friends you could have imagined. He is 2 years older then Kaden. That was all about 3 years ago. Ever since Kaden fell in love with Alex's craziness, and he found out about it, they drifted away. Now, she's a freshman in Core Creek High and Alex is a sophomore there. They were pulled away once, will this new year spark something new?
