The scratching

Chapter 8

Izuku woke up feeling good,some could even say happy. He quickly jumped out of his bed and got ready. Even though everything hurt from the training yesterday, he didn't care. Talking with someone about his mothers death felt good. He was grateful that Shoto had listened to him and even comforted him.

For once in his life, his mind didn't race with bad thoughts. Not even knowing that he would see All Might in class today brought his mood down. And that had to count for something.

He made his way to the kitchen, eating something- oh wow he ate something. Today was a good day. He quickly made his way to his classroom, inside he could see Aizawa laying in his sleeping bag. Without greeting him,because he knew that the man wanted to sleep a few minutes more, he went and sat down.

From the corner of his eye, he could see the man eying him up and down and after a few minutes he stood up with a sigh.

Izuku looked at his teacher, waiting for him to say something. After a few minutes of silence he went back to analyzing the quirk of the newest pro hero that had been getting quite popular in the last three months.

"Can i interrupt your thoughts for a second?" his teacher broke the silence.

The boy stopped writing and looked up again, waiting for his teacher to continue.

"Mic told me you came back pretty late yesterday. Why? Didn't All Might let you go before 10PM?" he asked.

Oh no. Of course his other teacher had told Aizawa, he knew that, but he had hoped it would take a while longer before it reached the mans ears .

"I-oh-h-he did I just w-wandered aro-around campus a b-bit and lost track of t-time" he lied.

The man eyed him up and down and gave him a quiet hum.

"I'm sure Mic already told you not to be late anymore but I feel a need to tell you again. Don't be late next time. If you still somehow are, come to me and I'll unlock the door for you, yeah?" his teacher offered.

"I will, thanks Mr Aizawa I appreciate it" he thanked him.

He got a nod in return just be for the rest of the class started to fill the classroom. His teacher waited for them to sit down before starting his lesson. It was pretty boring and Izukus mind wandered to different things, like the fact that his next lesson was with All Might. He was a bit nervous about seeing his mentor but it would be fine. He wasn't alone with him, this time his entire class was there. All Might couldn't do anything to him.

His homeroom teacher was out of the door before the bell even finished ringing and his other teacher, All Might, took his place in front of the class. His mentors eyes met his and Izuku froze for a second. They held eye contact before the number one hero turned away to announce what they would be doing this period. Izuku didn't listen but he heard something about a hero and villain roleplay. They got told to put on their hero costume and to make they're way to ground Beta.

Everyone jumped up and got changed, Izuku made sure to be the first to be in the locker room so no one would see amything. He pulled it off pretty well and by the time the others filled into the changing rooms he had already finished changing. This time, instead of already making his way to ground Beta he waited for Uraraka and Iida. The three of them made they're way to ground beta together while chatting about things Izuku only gave half of his attention to. Occasionally he gave a quick input but other than that he was quiet and just listened.

Arriving, they continued talking till everyone was there. All Might explained in detail how the exercise would work. They each would get paired up in a team of two, one team being the hero's and the other team the villains. The villains go inside the building and have to hide a bomb. To win the hero team needs to either catch both villains or touch the bomb.
