The Black Forest

School Project

I raised my hand in the air,waiting to speak.
"Yes Peyton." Mr.Gregory called walking toward me. He assigned the class a report about an area in Eastcliff, I'm doing the Black Forest.
"So 15,000 missing persons report have been filed here." I told him
"Wow I wonder where they went." he said with awe
"Same, Asia and I are going there after school to check it out and look for evidence." I admitted
"Be carful not to get lost you may never make it out." he laughed

Asia is my best friend,we've known each other since kindergarten,and we do everything together. I consider her my sister. We walked side by side all the way to The Black Forest. When we arrived I sat on a big oval looking rock and looked around. The forest seemed dark and lush,as a kid I always thought it was haunted with dark spirit.

I walked couple steps down the path looking for unusual things.
"Peyton I don't want to go to deep and go missing too."
"We won't were not going to deep."
I observed the moss tree bark and the air. It was all at the normal forests but I needed to find out.
"Asia I need to go deeper."
The look on Asia's face looked frightened.
"It's ok Asia nothing's gonna happen to us."
"Ok." she finally agreed

We paced for about 2 minutes before we stopped and started examining again. Everything was again normal. I didn't understand how all these people went missing,it didn't add up.
'maybe something took them' or 'maybe they fell into something'
"Any ideas of what happened?" I asked Asia
"I have no idea can we just get out of here."
"Come on Asia it's not that scary."
"It is."
"Fine big baby, we can go in just one minute."
"Thank YOU." She yelled sarcastically

That's when I heard a familiar voice yell my name.
"Peyton."
And I sprinted into the middle of the forest...
