The phone alarm blared into my ear, the dark gray curtains open enough to get sunlight shine brightly into my dull, brown eyes. I groaned, rubbing my face before sitting up. My new school uniform lay on the frame of my bed. The white shirt and blue pants staring up at me, I quickly put it on, and rushed down the stairs. The sweet smell of toast and honey enticed me to dash down to the kitchen, where I met my mother who was cleaning up some plates that my brother had used. He was sitting at the table finishing some homework. "Honey, Make sure you go to the office first thing, the principal should be waiting with your classrooms on it!" I nod, grabbing a piece of toast with the fresh sickly sweet honey and rushed out the door.

I had made my way to the local highschool. My friend Julian should be waiting for me. He was my friend since primary school, but we had slowly drifted apart due to me moving away for a couple of years. I could instantly see him, he hadn't changed much since then. He still had his long blonde hair, and the "I'm too cool for school" demeanor. He was leaning against the brick wall with the school sign on it, looking at whatever nonsense was on his phone. Sneakily, I crept up to him, and jumped at him. He screamed, staring at whatever made him jump. "Amir! Finally!" He smiled, wrapping his arms around me, in a sort of bear hug, seemingly forgetting that I had just scared him. "Hey Julian, I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long?" I release myself from the hug, looking around. The amount of people had just diminished, I didn't want to make Julian late for class. "Hey no no, Don't worry. Most students don't come until about five minutes before class. You're early. I assume you need to go to the principal's office?" He bent down, picking his black Nike bag off the floor. I nodded, "Apparently so? For my schedule and shit." Julian smiled, and began making his way through the school gates, entering. "Let me show you around the place, and the people to avoid." Julian began, And I followed briskly behind. I didn't pay attention to most of it, it was a lot to remember for just the first day, but something he said alerted me. "Now up ahead is Tyler and his group, trust me. You don't want to mess with them. They're the popular kids, who can make your life here a living hell." I nodded, averting my gaze from the floor to the people. They were gathered around a locker laughing and pointing to the kids walking by. Most of the bullying came from this one guy. He looked around six foot, dark brown hair, and a darker complexion. He had some sunglasses resting on his head, almost covered by his fluffy hair. Someone this cute could be considered so mean? Wait what? No. I slapped myself mentally, I couldn't be in love with someone who I had just met, nevertheless a boy. Suddenly he walked up to us, Giving a chuckle, he muttered something to the girl standing next to him. She had eyes, and medium curly brown hair, She nodded, remaining back. "Ah, Julian, finally made a new weird friend?" He scoffed, looking me up and down, his eyes, like daggers, looking like he could tell I was scared of him already."Back off Tyler, He's new here and has been my friend for years, Why don't you go makeout with another girl instead of harassing us?" His face instantly turned to rage. Right behind me I felt a slap on my back, another girl walked up to the group. "Rebekah, Finally you made it!" The brown haired girl smiled, Lighting up even more after seeing Julian. Her face looked flustered, yet she turned her attention to Rebekah. "My brother took too long to get here. Does Julian have a friend for once?" She hid her giggle by covering her mouth. I was seeing red, how dare they bully my friend like this! I balled my fist, ready to give them a taste of my mind. Suddenly I got pulled away, standing near a classroom with the numbers 202- Homeroom. Julian stood there, a nervous look on his face. "Yeah, see why those kids are weird?" I'd nod. "Don't go talk to them or even look in their direction without me.Anyway, this is your first class." He'd place a schedule in my hands, plus a map. "Don't get lost and if you do. Call me, the principal made me look after you today, which is a good thing." "It's a good thing because you're gay and in love with me, You have to admit it one day." I'd laugh, striking a sexy pose. "That is not true, You know– I'm actually dating the popular girl Olivia.." I gasped, grabbing his shoulders and shaking his entire body. "The one that bullies you non stop?! The one that hates you with all of her might?!" Julian shushed me. "She might be here! And yes, I love her..The reason we fight is because we don't want it known, so please, don't tell anyone."He said in a rushed down, as if everyone was listening to him. I scoffed, and walked into my class. How could I ever slap some sense into Julian, this wasn't a good idea. But also wasn't my biggest concern. My new class was.
