TW:
*3RD Person's POV*
It was a hectic week for Enhypen with tight schedules and non-stop rehearsals. Heeseung started feeling a bit off, a subtle ache in his muscles and a persistent sore throat.
Despite his discomfort, he pushed through, not wanting to disrupt the group's activities. However, as the days passed, his symptoms worsened.
One morning, Heeseung woke up feeling exhausted. His body was heavy, and his throat was scratchy. He had a slight pounding and a headache.
He tried to shake it off, convincing himself that it was just fatigue, but as the day progressed, he found it increasingly challenging to keep up.
By the time practice we were over, he could barely keep his body from falling. He was exhausted and his knees felt like giving up.
By the time he got back to the dorm, he felt his eyes getting heavier and heavier as the seconds goes by. It was hard for the others not to notice.
That night, Heeseung's condition worsened. He tossed and turned in bed, his fever rising. He could barely sleep despite the fact that he was tired.
He tried to convince himself that it was a passing flu, but when he woke up the next morning with a pounding headache and chills, he knew he couldn't ignore it any longer.
He stumbled into the kitchen where the other members were preparing breakfast. Jay glanced at him, "You don't look so good, Heeseung. Maybe you should take it easy today."
Heeseung nodded weakly, "Yeah, I think I need some rest."
Despite his declaration, the other members exchanged glances, silently questioning the severity of Heeseung's condition.
They had never seen him this unwell, and the thought of their lively oldes being sick seemed almost unreal.
As Heeseung retreated to his room, the members began to whisper among themselves. Sunoo voiced the skepticism that lingered in the air, "Do you guys really think he's sick? He's never been like this before."
Jake shrugged, "Maybe he's just tired. We've been working non-stop."
But Sunghoon wasn't convinced, "I don't know, guys. Something seems off. We should check on him."
Despite their doubts, they decided to give Heeseung some space, assuming he would bounce back in a day or two.
However, as the days passed, Heeseung's absence became more noticeable. His room, usually filled with laughter and music, was eerily quiet.
One evening, after a particularly grueling day of practice, the members returned to find Heeseung still confined to his room.
Concern finally overpowered their skepticism, and they decided to check on him. As they entered his room, they were greeted by a sight that shattered their doubts.
Heeseung laying in bed, pale and sweaty, under his eyes were eye bags. Ni-ki, who had been quiet all this while, was the first to speak up, "Guys, he's really sick. We can't ignore this anymore."
The realization hit them like a wave, guilt washing over them for underestimating Heeseung's ailment. Jay sighed as he walked over to him, "We should've checked on him earlier. Let's get him some medicine and make sure he gets proper rest."
From that moment, the members rallied around Heeseung, taking turns to care for him, bringing him comfort food, and ensuring he got the rest he needed.
