Dear Journal,
Something happened today. Something strange, yet terrifying. I don't know what happened but this 'Lovely' world isn't what we expected. We arrived in Atlanta, settled, then dad happened. He was trying to.. bite me? Me and Marten were separated from Carter. I saw my dad with rotted flesh and yellow eyes. I stabbed him in the chest. He kept moving, not phased by it. I went for the head and he was gone. I wasn't to upset considering what he did in the past. The rape and violence to me. But killing him was terrible. Who want to kill their father? No matter how terrible he was.

I had to leave the house into the world the monsters now own with Marten. I don't know where Carter is but wherever he may be we will find him. Maybe he didn't want to have us on his shoulders or maybe he just lost us. Either way, I miss him. He was like my dad.
Marten is scared. My poor baby. He doesn't understand that this disease could very well get him killed. We are gonna hope for the best.
