Y/n came back to Hokkaido. It was 2 weeks before Y/n's 18th birthday, and she would be very excited about it if her grandma Akiko wasn't in the hospital, she had a problem with her heart, and because her grandma was the only living family she had she was about to break down in front of the doctor as he told her that he doesn't think she will make it. Y/n made her way to her grandma, sat on a chair next to the bed, and took hold of Akiko's hand holding it tightly.

"Dear don't cry, you know I hate seeing you cry," Akiko lowly mumbled and with her other hand she shakily wiped Y/n's tears away, Y/n held her tears in and nodded her head.

"I know grandma, it's just hard not to when I know you might not make it," Y/n whispered as she looked at her grandma with a sad smile. Akiko opened her mouth to say something but was cut off by a nurse coming in to check on her. Y/n took that as her cue to leave and said her goodbyes before exiting the room. Y/n spent every day at the hospital, sitting by her grandma's side, talking to her, and holding her hand.

She couldn't imagine her life without her grandma, she was her rock, her support system, and her best friend. Seeing her in a hospital bed, weak and frail, broke Y/n's heart. Four days before her birthday, Y/n received a call from the hospital saying that her grandma had taken a turn for the worse and it was time for her to say her final goodbyes.

Y/n rushed to the hospital, tears streaming down her face as she prayed that she would make it in time to see her grandma one last time. She made it just in time, and she sat by Akiko's bedside, holding her hand and telling her how much she loved her. Akiko smiled weakly and whispered, "I love you too, my dear." And with those words, she passed away peacefully.

It took a large willpower not to break down there, so she quickly signed the papers and left for now her house. As she walked inside the house she locked the door and started crying, now realizing she was all alone she didn't have any family alive anymore. She cried, remembering all the happy memories she had with her grandma. But through the tears, she also felt a sense of peace knowing that Akiko was no longer suffering and was now in a better place.

She called Suna because she couldn't get her breathing under control. On the third ring, she heard him answer the phone and he quickly became worried as he saw Y/n's red face her mascara running down her face with tears, and her breathing was erratic.

"Y/n? What's wrong? Are you hurt?" Suna asked, his voice laced with concern.

"I-I can't breathe...A-Akiko is dead..." Y/n struggled to get the words out between gasps for air.

"Okay, take deep breaths with me. In...and out. In...and out." Suna's soothing voice helped Y/n focus on her breathing. Slowly, her breathing started to regulate and she was able to speak clearly.

"Th-thank you, Rin...." Y/n's voice was still shaky, but she was feeling better.

"It's okay, Y/n. Just take your time. Do you want to talk about it?" Suna offered.

"No, I think I'll be okay now. Thank you for calming me down." Y/n let out a small smile, grateful for Suna's support.

"Of course, Y/n. I'm always here for you." Suna's words warmed Y/n's heart and she couldn't help but feel lucky to have him in her life.

"Thank you again, Rin. I'll talk to you soon." Y/n said before hanging up the phone.

Y/n took a few more deep breaths and wiped away her tears. She was still feeling a little shaken, but Suna's words and presence had helped her calm down. She knew she could always count on him to be there for her, no matter what.

Feeling more composed, Y/n decided to take a warm bath and relax for the rest of the evening. As she soaked in the tub, she couldn't help but think about Suna and how lucky she was to have such a caring and supportive friend in her life. She made a mental note to thank him again when they will meet in person.

Y/n's breathing had returned to normal and her mind was at ease. She was grateful for Suna's call and for reminding her that she was not alone.

Y/n was in the backyard sitting on the terrace smoking a joint this time. She exhaled the smoke feeling relaxed more than ever. She then took a swing of the bottle of vodka she had in her left hand while the joint was in her right.

She had gone through a lot in the past few days and she needed this moment to clear her mind. She had stopped crying over Akiko's death, and she stopped caring for her break-up with her ex-boyfriend and she was feeling better than ever.

She closed her eyes and took another deep breath, enjoying the feeling of being high. She felt like she was floating and all her worries and problems were gone. As the night went on, Y/n finished the joint and more than half of the bottle of vodka.
