so what if she stayed silent, and didn't want to tell? she survived; that's what matters when he sold what wasn't his to sell. for years she cursed her parents, who hadn't known her Hell. for they never seemed to hear her, despite her cries for help. didn't notice the constant showers, trying to fully cleanse herself. nor could they see her bruises or smell his awful smell.
so what if she held her breath, and didn't want to breathe? she survived; that's what matters, when he saw what wasn't his to see. for years she didn't feel quite human, but more like a TV. his to touch and watch at anytime he pleased. she was at his disposal on her back and on her knees. he seemed like a starving beast, who always had to feed.
so what if she cut her arms and hips, and didn't want to live? she survived; that's what matters when he stole what wasn't his. most girls love to tell the story of their beautiful first kiss. but hers, hers was taken from her precious virgin lips. he stole her kiss cut off her head and caused the scars that's on her wrists. he's the reason she gets wary when her boyfriend touches her hips.
so what if she couldn't stand her name, and didn't want it called? she survived; that's what matters, after he'd taken it all. her name is unique, no doubt it makes guys fall. she loved her name, but now she hates it and he owns all the fault. too many times she heard him whisper her name, while he made her feel so small. now it is a curse, if anything at all.
