My Brothers Best Friend (Jack Johnson Fanfiction)

Chapter 17

Mellisa's POV

Oh god. Oh my god. What am I going to do? What is Jack going to say? He's going to be so mad that i didn't tell him he had a daughter. He's going to hate me.

All these things were running through my mind as I tucked Lilly into bed. She yawned, rubbing her eyes cutely.

"Night night, mummy, wuv you." She said snuggling in her blanket.

"good night sweet heart. Let your dreams take flight and your heart ignite" I said kissing her forehead.

I turned off her light and walked back downstairs. I was sitting at the kitchen table when my phone went. It was my brother. I hit the decline button. I can't face him the now, I don't know what to say. What am I going to do?

Jack Johnson's POV

I woke up staring at the ceiling, Jack staring intently at me. 

"Bro, thank god you're awake" He sighed.

"I had this weird dream that we were doing a interview and they said that me and Mell had a kid" I laughed rubbing the sore spot on the back of my head where it hit the floor.

"Yeah, dude, that wasn't a dream" Jack said nervously. Wait what? We can't, we never- wait yeah we did. Oh god. Why didn't Mellisa tell me?

"Jack? Jack? you okay man?" Gilinsky said waving his hand in front of my face. I snapped out of my trance.

"I've gotta get home, Jack. I have to get to Mellisa." I said to him.

"Calm down, bro. Maybe we should try and call her first." He said helping me up.

"Yeah, okay." I said he took out his phone and tried calling her number. There was no answer.

"Did you know about this, Jack?" I asked him. He looked at me weird.

"No, I literally found out when you did" He said. How is he so calm right now? I'm freaking out.

"And you're not mad?" I asked him.

"I don't know... I don't think so, I think I am more mad my mum." He said. I looked at him. 

"Your mum?" I questioned " What is she to do with this?"

"Well obviously it was her that wouldn't let Mellisa tell us, because I know that she would tell us something as important as this. I mean it's your child too" He said. I nodded in agreement.

"So what are we gonna do?" I asked

"We are going to get the next flight back to Nebraska and you are going to meet your daughter" Jack Stated.

"Okay"I said.

3 hours later we were on a plane heading home. Jack had called his mum and told her that we know and are on our way home. 

We have both tried contacting Mellisa but she wont take any of our calls. I'm beginning to wonder if she wanted us to find out or not.

When we got off the plane we headed straight for Jacks mum's house. 
We knocked on the door and Mrs Gilinsky answered.

"Jack!" She said excitedly hugging Gilinsky " It's so great to have you home" she let go of Jack and gave me a cold look.

"Johnson." She stated bitterly.

"Hello, Mrs Gilinsky. Where's Mellisa?" I asked 

"Mellisa doesn't live here anymore, she has her own house with her daughter." She said. 

"And where is that exactly?!?" I asked urgently. I just needed some explaining. Mrs Gilinsky reluctantly told me her address. Which only happened to be a few streets over.

Jack and I bolted down the path and headed straight to Mellisa's house. I don't know What I was expecting, I just had to figure this whole thing out.

Soon her house was In sight. We ran right up to the front door and rang the bell. a few minutes later Mell answered and when she saw me her face dropped.

"Jack?" She questioned uneasily...

A/N hope you liked that chapter! Sorry they still haven't met Lilly Yet. I promise in the next chapter they will. The next chapter is going to be adorable btw.
