Someone once asked me a question asking: “Do you think the government should make laws that force people to do good things?”
My answer: “It’s never enough to just ask someone to do good. I don’t think it’s right to ‘make’ people do ‘good things’, more or less, pay them to do bad things. If you’re going to ‘make’ people do ‘good things’, you might as well pay them at least minimum wage. If you’re going to force someone or have to force someone to do ‘good things’ why not look for the people that are ‘willing’ to do ‘good things’. I mean, that is the way God works. And nothing is more valuable than when it comes from the heart, not for the money.
