" The Stubborn One ",
No one truly knows who they are.
One thing everyone knows is their heroic story of redemption.

It starts in the early stages of their life.
A kid, a unworried kid who didn't know the world.
Didn't see no bad,
only saw and heard good.

Though, they did do a lot of bad.
It wasn't his fault.
He learned from his family,
his dysfunctional and messed up family.

It didn't matter if they were messed up,
because to him; they were everything.
Their opinions, advice, and comfort mattered the most out of everybody he knew.

He suffered for it.

They joked with him a lot,
he didn't know.
He was just a kid.

They made him feel horrible,
uncomfortable in his own nature,
like a disgrace,
and self-conscious.

But he didn't know.

. . . He didn't know.

He didn't know.

It was only till he got older
that he truly saw how horrible his family was.

He saw all of it.

The other family,
the hate,
the anger,
the selfishness,
the laziness,
the lack of respect,
the miscommunication,
The Hate.

Even after all of this,
he still loved them.

He still loved his sister,
his brother,
and his mother.

He doesn't love one of them though.
He has a good reason for it.

his dad.

his dad left his family.

didn't disappear,
didn't go away,
even though no one wanted him here.

he loved his other family,
we all knew.

It broke his heart,
his families heart.

Yet, he is still viewed as a "good father"
online.

It was injustice.

But he wanted to be petty, just like his father.

He never outed him on social media,

he waits and waits until it's too late.

Only then, will he see his actions of wrong.
Only then, will he open his blind eyes.
It'll all be too late.

His First-Born Son, raising a family somewhere.
His Only Daughter, married to the woman she loves.
His Last-Born Son, living with the love of his life. Out of the country, maybe in Europe somewhere, living a fulfilled and desirable life.

But he still hopes.
He hopes he can forgive him.
He hopes it won't be too late.

No matter the times he felt insignificant,
Insecure,
Unloved,
Unappreciated.
He still loves his dad.

His selfish, egotistical dad.

His dad that was never a dad to him,
but more like mom's far friend.

" I don't know the guy,
I don't have no father.
He took all of my achievements in life,
Credited himself,
And said he was 'proud' of me.
He really wasn't. He was only proud of himself. "
