Leo lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling. He had told Sensei that he didn't feel up for training but in truth, he just couldn't bring himself to do anything without Mikey. It had been 3 months since Leo and his brothers failed to rescue Mikey.

Raph kept more to himself and was more emotional. He wished he could take back everything he said about Mikey not being needed, seeing how broken everyone became, how broken he had become, without him there. He promised he would never say anything mean to him or any of his brothers again. It was hard to keep this promise but he tried.

Donnie stayed in the lab a lot, searching for a way to track down Mikey. He blamed himself mostly because he had been the one to use the teleporter to get back to Earth. Though he had done it to save himself and his elder brothers, he had caused them to lose their only way to save Mikey.

April and Casey didn't visit as often, not wanting to see the sadness that plagued the turtles. Though they were sad too, they just didn't show it.

Splinter meditated in almost every free moment, searching for his son's spirit, hoping to find him and bring Mikey's sunshine back to his sons.

As Leo lay on his bed, his eyes drifted to his alarm clock, not really reading the time. He was unable to get the image of Mikey's face out of his head. The last time he saw his brother, Mikey trying desperately to get out of the Triceraton's grasp, the look of pure fear as he was teleported away. This scene paired with the screams of Mikey's name from Raph and Sensei gave him nightmares, as did what might have happened to Mikey. Suddenly there was a knock at the door forcing Leo out of his thoughts.

"Me and Donnie are going for patrol, you coming?" Raph asked. Leo went to say no but Donnie spoke up.

"I think you'll feel better if you get some air, Leo." Leo stared at the clock for a minute longer before agreeing, grabbing his katanas and replacing his wraps. Donnie and Raph smiled at each other, happy to see Leo do something other than sit in his room. As much as Mikey's disappearance hurt them, it also hurt not having Leo around to keep them in check. As Leo opened the door he flashed his brothers a quick smile before leading them out of the sewers.

Leo breathed the fresh air as he jumped from rooftop to rooftop. A feeling of guilt made him stop. Did he have any right to enjoy running and getting fresh air when Mikey could be rotting in a cell waiting for his brothers to rescue him? Leo shook his head, trying to escape his thoughts as Raph and Donnie caught up.

"It's been 3 months and still no Foot or Krang, I don't whether to be relieved or scared" Donnie said trying to distract Leo.

"There hasn't been any Krang since we destroyed them all, remember Donnie?" Raph snapped. Donnie let out a small 'oh yeah'.

"And the foot better not show their faces after what they tried to do to sensei!" The three turtles remembered how Shredder had tried to kill Splinter after agreeing to work together to stop the Triceratons. Raph punched the roof, on the verge of tears. Since no bad guys had shown up, Raph had no outlet for his anger and he struggled to keep it under control. He kept thinking 'for Mikey' but it was draining him.

Leo just stared out from the rooftop, his eyes distant when something caught his eye. It was a little cat, the one Mikey had once tried to give back to a human just to prove they could be friends. He ended up being yelled at and about a million scratches. Leo remembered how he had made fun of him. He regretted it thinking how lonely Mikey must be now. Leo went to jump down to the cat when he heard a person speak.

"Turtles."

Leo instantly recognised the voice and got ready to fight but as he turned around a familiar pair of sunglasses made him stop, it was Bishop. Raph and Donnie got ready to fight but stopped when they heard Leo speak.

"What do you want Bishop?"

"Only to tell you I might have a way to find your missing brother"
