Xun Dui looked at him in surprise and then laughed. "What???" Are you seriously challenging me with an obsolete technique like that?”
Su Ning crossed his arms, saying nothing. The people at the window were carefully observing that person, wondering who this person was who was so confident in his abilities that he would challenge a group of cultivators. Some recognized him and a low buzz spread among the nearest neighbors.

Some distance away, from the top of one of the buildings, two people were also watching this impasse.
"Emperor, wouldn't it be better if we intervene? There are many cultivators against one person!" Fei Muo said having another nervous breakdown.
Qiang Yong was sitting in a half-lying position, comfortably supporting his head with one hand.

"Not even fifty of these cultivators could oppose Su Ning's will." The dragon said laughing. They heard about the confusion and ran to see what was happening. However, Qiang Yong never imagined that he would find Su Ning in this place already intervening in the chaos.

"Su Ning? Isn't this the doctor? How is he going to face them?" Fei Muo was about to vomit blood from this situation.
"Didn't you see the barrier? Dr. Su was a cultivator in the past."
"By Buddha! That doctor has a dark past then!"
Qiang Yong didn't bother to respond.

He would probably change his mind once he met you in person. But now he was enjoying watching Su Ning punish the cultivators, it was as good a spectacle as the dance performance. And both executed by the same person. Su Ning is so evil when he wants to be! Qiang Yong laughed to himself, he loved every facet of this person.

However, it was not the same for other people. Xun Dui crashed head-on into the barrier, trying every nullification technique possible. Getting no results, he decided to attack with his sword. The tip of the weapon collided with the barrier to the point where it sparked. The blows were so violent that the other cultivators had to move away to avoid being hit.

"Master Xun! What if the sword breaks? That's dangerous!" One of the disciples dared to say. Xun Dui gave him a murderous look.
"You idiot! With so many years of cultivation you think I would break a sword so easily? A dog ate your brain??"
The disciple fell silent, retreating. The last blow had its rays reflected and he was almost hit.

After a meal had passed and the barrier had not been removed, some residents risked leaving their homes. A rabbit yao  even kindly offered the doctor a chair to sit on. There was still a long time before afternoon fell. Su Ning was waiting patiently, at no point did he ridicule or belittle the other's ability. He was just evaluating him almost like an impartial judge.

Taking advantage of the doctor's idleness, some people approached him to ask for an appointment. Since Su Ning couldn't reject an appointment, he consulted them right then and there. This only served to inflame Xun Dui's anger.
"Hahaha! It seems that my performance is not enough for the venerable Dr. Su Ning to even worry about me! But you've already left the Sect a long time ago, we have new techniques now. Who knows, maybe this won't catch his attention?" Xun Dui sneered and took a distance from the barrier.

The cultivators rushed to squeeze into the background, it was probably a far-reaching technique. Seeing their apprehension, the doctor simply extended his open hand and widened the barrier's field of action so that they had more space.
"Are you sure you're going to do this doctor? Widening the Rainbow Barrier is the same as making it thinner.  You want to make it easier for me, don't you? Are you doubting my ability??"

Xun Dui was already sweating profusely and the veins were standing out on his temple. He raised his sword and brought it down violently. The nearest yao shuddered and moved away in fright, following the curve of the sword, the air stirred around the weapon and thousands of spiritual swords were launched all at once, from the beginning to the end of the movement, following the curved trajectory.

Everyone thought that at least one crack would be opened and who knows what damage these weapons would do when free from the barrier? The swords collided against the barrier, resulting in a strong wave of impact that even knocked over the cultivators gathered on the opposite side and Xun Dui was pushed back, falling on top of them. But the technique did not end there.

While they were unable to reach their target, the swords maintained their flow, like a drill trying to pierce solid rock, causing more swirls of air within the barrier.
From the beginning Su Ning remained calm, even when his frightened patient ran away in fear of the ill-fated technique. He looked at the confusion inside the barrier and let out a disappointed Tsk.

He thought about whether he should let Xun Dui undo the technique but he was already pressed on the other side that of the barrier due to its own failed strategy. Su Ning pointed to his own lips with two fingers and opened and closed his mouth a little, as if he had bitten into something. Immediately the barrier shot out like a living wave and enveloped the swords, making them disappear.

They were absorbed by it and thus the pressure within it was dispersed. Xun Dui was stunned but he couldn't accept that the difference in cultivation between him and the doctor was so great. The Rainbow Barrier, like other techniques, depended on the cultivator's spiritual sea, however the doctor's spiritual core was even damaged and there was no way to repair it!

How could he maintain this technique so carelessly? What was that? Did he cultivate to the level of a Buddha or did he become a demon? Could Ce Rang at least take care of him? Xun Dui stood up, admitting defeat, with the last effort they made he completely exhausted his energy and he spat out blood. If he was unable to intervene in the barrier, not even the other disciples would be able to do so. Furthermore, his time was already running out and there was no way he could face Su Ning like that.

He could keep them trapped there indefinitely. However, he was not willing to give in and sat down to meditate and recover some of the lost energy. It would be shameful for him to return to the Sect so weak. Ce Rang would certainly punish him!
After the deadline, Su Ning had already attended to the people who came to him earlier, although he still remembered that he wanted to see Fei Muo's knee. He dismissed the barrier, letting it gradually disappear.

At sunset, it was very beautiful to see it disappearing, a rainbow contrasting with the orange tone of the sky. Xun Dui then stood up, still maintaining his arrogant air. "Maybe from spending so much time with yao, you finally became one of them."
Su Ning stared at him in bewilderment. Was this supposed to be an insult?

"Hmm. It seems to me that this possibility is very difficult to happen. If I'm not mistaken, the most that a yao can benefit a human is by increasing their lifespan if they are a pair."
Xun Dui turned his back on him, he was not interested in lessons on yao.
How rude! Qiang Yong thought, if he was there, he would make Xun Dui kneel down and ask Su Ning for forgiveness.

But the doctor was already leaving, returning to Orchid's House. Fei Muo was bewildered by this situation, but Qiang Yong just patted him on the back. "Tomorrow the doctor should return to the clinic, who knows if you don't come now he won't take a look at your knee?" He asked,  laughing. And he jumped using his qinggong to reach the courtesans' house before the doctor.
